There heaps of issues with this place, it’s was dirty and unhealthy as I have a big lump on my next from staying In that bed… Very cold in the house and very dangerous for kids and not probably fence and lawn need to be mowed, as also there was mould in gap of bathroom. Also having a cat around is feral at a places when people are there.

“A better option than a hotel or motel”

The idea of sharing a property was foreign to us but it was perfect. The cost and the facilities provided outranked any motel or hotel - at over HALF the price. An excellent option and one I highly recommend.

What a lovely building! Appears recently renovated with a good quality kitchen and all the necessary cooking equipment for a short duration stay. Has nice and clean carpet throughout, with good curtains for privacy. It also has upgraded bathrooms with decent sized showers, even for the budget room. The hosts provide coffee, spices and essential goods to help enjoy your stay. Plenty of utensils and plates for your convenience, with a shared kitchen and lounge in the main rear entrance. We really enjoyed the hosts desire to provide a private bathroom allocated to each room. They offered additional sheets and towels for the duration of our stay as well as shampoo and soap. They checked in daily to make sure we were comfortable and looked after. The selection of books available to read was a nice touch and you can tell that this house was designed to offer homely comforts for travelers of all backgrounds. The beds were comfortable with good quality sheets and comfort toppers. Plenty of heating in the rooms and an AC unit in the main lounge. Seperate TV room from the lounge offers privacy if you are sharing with another guest. Individual rooms have locks on the doors for your security, with a combination lock to the main entrance. There is a large back yard with a very friendly neighborhood tabby cat who will catch your attention. A security camera facing the rear of the property offers some security, with a separate entrance door to the master bedroom. A large north facing sunroom captures the heat during the short winter days and offers a nice place to relax in poor weather.

It was not safe, the bedroom had no locks. The room smelt like weed. I was unable to ring them. It went straight to voicemail and we never got our money back

Big house and good location. Close to the town center. Nice kitchen and clean bathroom. The best part is different rooms to use different bathrooms and toilets.

10 min walk to city center is very misleading. At least 20 mins. Our room was very tight. Obviously larger room been cut up.

Although at first this place might seem like a strange setup, it actually worked well for me. And ignore the fact it's on the edge of the industrial area. The house is currently divided into two guest rooms. Each room has its own bathroom down the hall. There is a communal kitchen. The beds were comfy. The place was clean. Bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. It is 10 mins walk to the centre of Invercargill. The kitchen was modern and had everything you need. I had the room that also had double doors out onto the back yard. As I was travelling by bicycle this was very convenient. I would use this place again.

Inside the house was very pleasant. The kitchen and lounge were generously sized and comfortable.

“Thought we were at wrong address.”

On arrival mail was spilling out of the letterbox and onto the ground. No instructions for guests at front door. At the back entry the bins were overflowing. A bike was lying on the ground. No answer on knocking. Thought we must have wrong address. Tried calling and contacting Bookings. Finally received a code to get in. The room was large and bright but there was only the bed and 1 chair. No TV, bedside tables or lamps. The private bathroom was nice, but was 10meters from the room down 2 hallways. There was No TV in the lounge room either only the Antenna in the corner on the floor. The owner arrived about 5.30 and explained that her husband had to suddenly fly to Sydney and was why I couldn't reach him earlier. Explained that they used to live there and were still moving out, asked if we needed anything, then left without picking up the mail or bike.

Very new and very clean. The host has a kettle in the room which is very convenient. The host is very friendly too.

The family were very friendly and kind. The bathroom was very clean. I loved hearing their cultural stories and sharing food.
