We loved this place due to its amazing location, stunning and peaceful river view, kind hosts and delicious meals. The room was large, and had windows to the river along the entire front of it, the beds were comfy and was east parking...We did a day trip through a spectacular area that follows the road up from the 'Forestry museum' (more of an archeological museum) there are some amazing historic sites here set into unique forest. We also visited uryu falls and finished the day at a great brew bar set on the river. There is so much to do in this area and it is just as if not more beautiful than the Iya valley but without the tourist buses and queues. We would recommend spending a few days exploring this area!

Nice relaxing atmosphere, very welcoming hosts. Nice neighborhood. We enjoyed our short overnight stay. Grocery store nearby. Sacred waterfall 15 min by car.

This charming little guesthouse was really nice. We felt very welcome by the friendly couple running it. In the evening we had yakiniku dinner outside beside the river, with a nice view of a pretty sakura tree blooming on the other side. Room was a mix of Japanese and western style (real beds) and was very charming. The host couple also spoke excellent English.

We had an incredible stay with a stunning river view, where the green-blue water and private balcony made for a perfect escape. The room was comfortable, and my personal highlight was the handmade mugs, carefully selected by the owners at a local farmers market, showcasing beautiful Japanese ceramic craftsmanship. Sipping coffee while gazing at the river became a special ritual during my stay. It was a peaceful, authentic experience that I’ll always remember—truly the highlight of our trip!

The hosts Yoshiko and David were incredibly friendly and caring. Breakfast served was wonderful, egg, fruit and yoghurt. The house had been carefully been renovated 5 years ago. The setting in the valley is wonderful. We could swim in the river just 2 min walk from the house.

It is a very good guesthouse where travelers can stay in a welcoming homy atmosphere. We could feel the love and dedication of the owners to give travelers the utmost experience at their space. Despite the old building, it was nicely refurbished and kept very tidy and clean. Breakfast was very good with tasty coffee and handmade bread! The owners are very friendly paying their attention to each one of the travelers. The location was perfect to visit Niyodo blue sites. Moreover, we could swim in the river in front of the guesthouse!!! That was awesome. Additionally, we would like to thank for the great travel tips to the owners. We ate THE bonito bowl which almost melt in our mouth, thank you!
