“A wonderful stay at a funaya in INE”

We had a wonderful stay at Funaya Stay Ichi in Ine. The funaya (traditional boathouse) is lovely, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the traditional futon beds and the kotatsu table, which made the experience feel authentic and cozy. The boat garage by the sea is truly special. One of the most beautiful moments of our stay was when a boat stopped right by the funaya to pick us up for a ride around the bay — such a unique and unforgettable experience. The hostess was incredibly friendly and helpful, making everything easy and pleasant for us. A perfect place for a short stay in Ine — highly recommended!

The house is in a wonderful location and it is itself a typical funaya with direct access to the bay of Ine. We appreciated the traditional atmosphere combined with high quality finishes. We really enjoyed also the private boat tour organized by the hosts: they take you onboard directly from the platform that is part of the house

Loved everything! Huge property, very comfortable. Amazing being literally right on the water, the manager arranged a boat tour for us which picked us up straight from our room. Great location, nice restaurant almost directly opposite and 1 min walk to the tourist information centre.

Location is everything with this property, which is a beautifully renovated funaya right on the water in Ine fishing village. It's self catering accommodation and we hadn't made any reservations at the small number of local restaurants. However, we found a lovely place right across the road from our house. Our room overlooked the water and despite the wet weather the views were amazing. Our host also arranged a private boat tour of the bay for us, which picked us up from our own jetty! A magical stay. Highly recommend.

Wonderful location with views of bay, picked up at own dock for bay tour. Owner very helpful and friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer. And the beds were sooo comfy.. a welcome relief after rock hard futons and beds in otjer Japan accom.

the house is very easy to find with the map helping and host is always there to help. not far from the tourist center. you can go on off to ride the boat taxi very easy and fair value money.
