The locations nature

The dining at Sumptuori (Japanese Restaurant inside the resort) was terrible: This was the single worst dining experience of my life. On October 2nd at 19:30, I went there with my family. After being seated, we were completely ignored. No chopsticks, no soy sauce, no wasabi, no ginger... nothing. We sat there for 15 minutes without a single staff member approaching us, until I stood up and asked a waiter to please attend our table. Drinks took another 15 minutes to arrive, and after 30 minutes total we finally got our first bite of sushi. Then, for the next half-hour, the only things they served us were the same sushi piece and some vegetables in breadcrumbs, on repeat. Meanwhile, I could see other tables being served a wide variety of sushi that we were never offered. I asked another waiter about it, and she vanished without explanation. After another 30 minutes of being blatantly ignored, we walked out. This wasn’t just poor service. It was discriminatory behavior. Seeing other tables receive proper service while we were treated like we didn’t exist is something I cannot excuse. It ruined any remaining goodwill I might have had for this resort. I could overlook the bland food and the indifferent service as “Brazilian 5-star inflation.” But discrimination? Never. This resort lost me forever. I will never return, and I’ll make sure that everyone I know avoids this place too. If you’re looking for a true 5-star experience, go literally anywhere else. Grand Palladium Imbassaí is not it.

We came to the hotel to experience all that it had to offer, as we had booked our wedding here in the coming months. Now that we’ve seen it first hand, we couldn’t be more thrilled to celebrate our love here. For those interested in wedding-specific stuff, go to the bottom of the review 👇🏼 The room: Very spacious, huge bed, great for couples. The room also includes a sofa with a desk and a few chairs to do some work if needed. The bathroom is also pretty big and well equipped. Although it doesn’t have a bidet, there is a small convenient shower head next to the toilet. All that separates the bathtub from the actual room is a semitransparent glass. Although not great for privacy, pretty cool for couples. The food: The buffets have an abundance of food, for all tastes and preferences. It’s hard to complain here, and although not the best meals I’ve had in my whole life, there’s always something great to have. And there’s just so much food. You can get even more food near the pool and the beach. When we were there, the hotel was almost at full capacity, and still it was easy to find a table every time. Restaurants: There are 3 restaurants to go to besides the main buffet. They require reservations, and you can book a limited number depending on the length of the stay. When the hotel is near full capacity, they open a a fourth, which was the case when we were there. Bahia e Brasa (Rodizio, beef): the best. Waiters come and offer you different cuts of meat. An amazing experience all in all. Mediterranean: incredible food. Plates are pretty abundant. Japanese: food’s very good. They prepare the plates live which makes for a good show. Poseidon: although the worst of the four, this one is close to the beach so it has some charm. Food is still very good, don’t get me wrong. The beach: With out a doubt, the best part of the hotel. The water is warm but not hot, just the right temperature to refresh you from the scorching weather.

Facilities well kept

“In general terms, I liked everything in the hotel. It is quite similar to Caribbean all inclusives.”

The dinner restaurants were excellent (the Steakhouse and the Japanese (sushi), both with rodizio service). Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the main buffet were good as well (sometimes it was a bit hot, but better than several caribbean buffet restaurants). The Poseidon restaurant (close to the beach) was not what I expected. The cow meet has a very poor quality and additionally it was not well cocked (it was prepared in a barbeque but not well done). Bars are all ok. The beach is at about 3 blocks from the hotel (or more, depending where your room is). There is a bus which takes you to the beach, but sometimes you need to wait it for a long time. The room was comfortable, the minibar works ok and it was refilled every day (4 sodas -coke-, water cans and 2 Amstel cans. Cleaning room was ok. Cleaning of public bathrooms was not good, it should be improved. Pools are all together in the middle of the hotel, and they are huge. One of them was closed due to maintenance (it was not informed when we made the reservations).

Customer service was good. Genwral services are good but palladium group services are slack. Some restaurants are not.always available.

Superou expectativas

“It’s good but not worth the price”

The rooms are very spacious and the pools are incredible (even though the water is a bit cold). The entertainment staff was probably the highlight.
