“Fantastic stay at Shachihoko.”

Shachihoko was the perfect stay for us in Imari. It is beautifully situated, clean and comfortable. We had advised we would be arriving in the evening and the host kindly had the lights on to welcome us in. The stay was exactly as pictured and went beyond our expectations. A full kitchen was available with a complete suite of implements and seasoning. Generous snacks and drinks were also provided. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Interesting mix of Japanese and Maroccan style, with many nice decorations. Well equipped and nice set of snacks and noodles available. The host was great and took us on an evening ride to see fireflies, was magical! The house is in a small peaceful town not far from ricefields and the pottery towns.

We are very thankful about the experience we had in youre home. Beautiful village, lovely house with fresh smelling flowers. We enjoyed a lot. Also the surroundings. We went for a big walk on the island nearby, to the Hatatsu Fureai to eat and to the viewing point on top of the village.

“Great traditional house in cute fishing village”

This was a fisherman’s cottage with all modern amenities. It was cosy and warm. The beds were comfortable. It’s exactly as shown in the photos. Communication with the host was excellent and instructions prior to our arrival were detailed. There were lots of lovely treats on our arrival - bread, croissants, a variety of small snacks and even beer in the fridge. These were all very much appreciated. The host checked that everything was ok after our arrival. We had a lovely four days in this very clean and comfortable house. It’s situated in a small fishing village with few amenities and a car is a necessity when staying.

“What a gem”

Where do I even start? We had a wonderful time at Villa Shachihoko and we wish we had stayed more than 2 nights. The house is, if possible, even more beautiful in real life than in the pictures. Very comfortable beds and the decoration is just wow. I think you could spend hours just admiring and enjoying the house itself(and the snacks that the host so thoughtfully had prepared). Warm and welcoming host who was very helpful and quick to answer our questions. You simply could not ask for a better host. Lots to see and do in the area; we highly recommend the Okawachiyama pottery Village and the breathtaking viewpoint near the house. We are very grateful to have found Shachihoko and would absolutely love to come back. 11 out of 10 stars⭐️

A beautiful traditional house, in a quiet fishing village. It feels like stepping in another dimension. The house is full of charm and character, everything is so thoughtfully prepared. It makes guests feel cared for. The kitchen is equipped with everything one might need and there were lots of snacks left for us.

We really enjoyed our stay in this very beautifully renovated house. It's located in a quiet harbor town but there is a grocery store just a 5-min walk away. The house is well equipped and we appreciated the little extras, we didn't meet the host but the given check-in instructions were very clear.

Set in a seaside village it was a comfortable guesthouse with all the facilities. Shachihoko met us and showed us around. The beds were wonderful and the house ( originally a fisherman’s house ) was beautifully appointed.

This is the most stylish property that we have stayed in. The look and feel of everything is very tasteful and high quality! The insulation was really good as well. We really appreciate the owner who is an incredibly kind man with a keen eye for detail and design!

One of the most comfortable places we have stayed in, in a very long time. Spotlessly clean. Fresh flowers, snacks on arrival. Clean, beyond comparison. This is not a place to stay if you want city life. It is a super quiet village. The observatory behind the house is one of the best cherry blossom destinations we have been to. We spent 2 hours there and we were the only people on the mountain. Spectacular.
