Fantastic spot if you’re doing the bike ride from Imabari to Onomichi. Stay here a night and enjoy the area. Awesome onsen just down the road which is well worth a visit if open!

“A fantastic secluded oasis on Omishima Island”

The accommodation was super after a long day of cycling the Shimanami Kaido. Had a lovely welcome from the owners and chatted for ages. Can't wait to return!

Amazing and cozy guesthouse! Would definitely stay again.

Lovely hostel. We booked two beds in seperate rooms and got given our own shared bunkbed room. Beds and bathrooms were clean and good quality. Downstairs was a kitchen, with 2 gas hobs, a kettle, and a small oven/reheater. Only a 2 minute walk to A-Coop, and a 5 minute bike to the onsen. Lovely stop on our bycicle tour.

I loved the friendly staff. It was also a great place to stay a night during the Shimanami Kaido.

“Cheap and comfortable”

The guest rooms and facilities are clean. The location is excellent for local sites. The shared kitchen area encourages guests to speak to each other. Do note that the bedrooms are upstairs.

Lovely small hostel, the owner struck as a very progressive and broad minded person, there was a slight mistake on the side of the hostel with our booking, but it was rapidly resolved and effectively we received an upgrade to a private room. The owner also gave us some useful tips and we managed to attend a local festival at 6 in the morning , one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. Beware, it is helpful to know at least some Japanese for smoother communication with the owner, but in case she is vey forthcoming and will find a way to communicate with you.

The dorm was a two dorm room. Very new and nice! The sleeping area was pristine! The staff was very helpful with bike problems.

“Great place to stay when riding the Shimanami Kaido”

Great little guesthouse deep in the island. If you're doing the Shimanami Kaido, this place is around 15KM away from the main track. You need to cycle up a hill to get here, I didn't find it very difficult (I'm a beginner cyclist). Depending on what type of traveller you are, this can be a pro or a con. I loved it. Appart from the staff in the guesthouse, no one in the neighbourhood speaks English, but that adds to the charm. The room has all the amenities of a regular hostel. They also provide towels. There was a kitchen and laundry facilities and everything was tidy. Nearby points of interest are a sea water onsen (sadly closed on Wednesdays), an interesting abandoned Shrine at the end of the pier overlooking the bay, and a Okonomiyaki shop run by an old lady. The food was very good and cheap. There is also a supermarket but it closes around 7pm. I would definitely stay here again if I'm repeating the Kaido.
