“Exceptional experience in the heart of the local village”
House location is in the heart of the local village, offering a grat opportunity to experience everyday life of the locals. The food was simple but very good, breakfast included in the price. The host helpful but did not speak English (was willing to use the translator though). The location is an excellent base for exploring every corner of the island, which was probably the biggest advantage of our stay. Don't miss the southern beaches – they are truly exceptional!

“An experience people should have”
This is an EXPERIENCE. You will live in the heart of a real Santomean village. There is nothing fake or contrived. It is how it is. You are included in village life. I would recommend staying here but come prepared and I would suggest staying for one night.

Nice and solid house, equipped with solar panels, A/C and everything you need to spend some time on that beautiful island. Moreno was very friendly and helpful, the food was great, definitely recommend to stay there and feel the vibe of Ilheu das Rolas.

“Great local experience. But don't expect much.”
You get to stay in the middle of a local village. Even though it's a remote island, there are 3 ACs in the house (probably the only three on the whole island) and WIFI as the house has a private solar pannel electricity. Spacious and clean. Island is awesome. Stay longer than a night!

Everything. The house is simple but confortable. The breakfast was simple but good. You have to understand that you are in a remote place with difficult to get all kind of luxuries. The house is indeed a luxury on the villa where it is. It was very rewarding to share with my children a different reality from what they know without loosing the confort and safety they are used to. The person that received us (Moreno) was very kind and present during all the time making sure that nothing went wrong.

“A friendly, welcoming stay on a beautiful island.”
Great location, they supplied a friendly and helpful driver (Clayton) to take me to and from Porto Alegre (stopping off at attractions en route) and arranged boat transport as well. The food at the nearby cafe was fresh and local. It’s a basic property on a beautiful island. Well worth exploring on foot.

“Overpriced”
The house has electricity 24/7, tap water and air conditioning. Kudos to the owner for setting this up, however the rest of the house is not up to that level of quality. Bed mattresses were comfortable. The employee Nino was friendly and did the best he could, despite some difficulties to communicate.

“A perfect getaway on a paradise island. And this place really is all of that above.”
Absolutely in the centre of the island life. There is no better location to get to be a part over all that. Easy access to beaches, port, bars-restaurants, forestwalks and equador. All in together is a hands down place. Wonderful.
