Overview
Malie Chalés provides spacious accommodation only 5 minutes’ walk from Gruta das Encantadas Cave in Ilha do Mel. It offers free Wi-Fi, a buffet breakfast and communal outdoor lounge. The air-conditioned, rustic chalets are spacious and features a balcony with views to the sun terrace. They come with a minibar, satellite TV and private bathroom with a hot shower. Location is in walking distance of the ferry and to the towns center. Accommodation was really nice and the entrance is beautiful. The beds were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good, including fresh fruits and pastries. A very good option to explore Ilha do Mel.

“Gorgeous, wonderful, if I could give it more stars I would.”
The hotel and grounds are beautiful, with a location close to the beach and the grotto. The staff were exceptionally helpful and nice, even though I do not speak Portuguese. The restaurant is excellent—both the breakfast as well as the sushi restaurant for dinner. Be sure to ask about yoga with Beatriz, who is an excellent teacher.

“Great nature. Back to the roots. Recharging batteries to 200%!”
A great "pousada". Very friendly staff. Alexandre was specially helpful as a great host. Awesone surrounding nature. Nicely arranged small wooden chalets. Very good breakfast. Perfectly located in the heart of Encantadas being comfortably close to the port, restaurants, bars, and of course the large beaches & bays (starting by Mar da Fora, followed by Praia do Miguel, Praia Grande...) on the ocean side. I can only recommend and would return anytime. Feedback by a "gringo" from Liechtenstein/Switzerland
