“Overpriced old charm”
This is a lovely property in terms of setting and lay out. The old charm Portuguese architecture is beautiful and its nicely furnished. Rooms are spacious.

“absolutely supreme place and destination”
the quiet and restful ambience provides for excellent memories in a quaint village by the Indian ocean. the level of traditional architecture, fusion decor and furniture exceeds what is expectable at a similar location a good breakfast was only improved by a larger variety of local fruits.

Exceptional place to stay in Ilha de Moçambique, with an amazing terrace for sunsets and large rooms decorated with taste! Very friendly staff! The owner and her daughter are very welcoming and attentive.

“Amazing Stay in Ilha”
Terraço das Quitandas is an amazing gem on the island. The staff was incredibly accommodating and super friendly. They helped indicate places to see and facilitated an excursion to the other nearby islands. The hotel is immaculately decorated, giving you the old-world charm with modern-day comforts. Each room has it own unique theme that takes you back to a time in the past. The location is perfect! Stunning views and easy access to restaurants around the area.

location, furnishings, people, the welcome was amazing and we were made to feel completely at home.. looked after like part of the family.. food was great, extra snacks and various items provided with no trouble..

“Great place with character and exceptionally nice staff.”
The location close to the port, museum and main tourist attractions, is great. The rooms are clean and spacious and all have their individual charm. The roof terrace offers very nice views on the sea, town and the night sky. Together with the entire building this place has real character. However, the main joy for me was the staff: the owner and entire team are extremely helpful and friendly and make you feel as being part of a family. For me it was a really exceptional stay!
