Peaceful location, close to Shimanami Kaido. Room with an ensuite was very convenient at the end of a day cycling.

Everything was on point, from the easy check-in, to the amazing room with plenty of space, a fridge, the most comfortable pj’s ever (I would have bought them if it was possible), kettle tea and coffee, impeccable clean. It’s literally two minutes away from the main cycling line super easy to find. A Lawson down the road and a drug store that closes at 10pm (just be careful to have cash or a suica card to pay). The bathrooms and showers were spotless clean and they have thootbrushes, combs, ecc.. available.

Very nice seating area with a microwave, hot water, spoons and a vending machine selling food as there are almost no restaurants around. Our room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable, there was even a shoe dryer in our room. Easy check-in process.

Excellent location for cyclists. Clean, stylish and comfortable with great facilities for eating own food in the hotel. Seating area with microwave and hot and cold water. Good bike storage.

Just off the Shimanami Kaido cycle trail. Absolutely wonderful stay, we loved it here! Had everything we needed. Very comfortable bedding, lots of space, good amenities & toiletries which we utilised since we were cycling. Great showers. Not super close to restaurants or convenience store but we picked up things before we arrived which was very manageable so not really a negative!

It had everything we needed. Spacious rooms, easy to check in, easy to get to off the blue line route, kitchenette & heaps of bathrooms (we had private bathroom too). Futons were by far the most comfortable we have ever had in Japan. Will definitely return.

Easy self check-in. Beautiful modern minimalist interior design with old classic wooden features. Spacious bedroom, separate room with couch and desk. Shared facilities were clean despite being staff-less. Very comfortable bed!

Superb location along the Shimanami Kaido. The room was very spacious, clean, and had very comfortable beds. The bathroom, while partially original, had everything we required and the hot shower at the end of the day was just what was needed.

Very chic lodgings, and loved the locally made towels! Stayed during off season so didn't see anyone else, which meant we had the bathrooms/dining areas all to ourselves.

Full marks for value at Hanaguri - I paid £29 for one night in a "double room with shared bathroom". The room was enormous, easily the biggest on my trip, the bed was very comfortable (as was the sofa), and the shared washrooms were easy to access and readily available during my stay. There are no staff at Hanaguri, everything is done via emailed codes, but that made check-in very easy, and I had no problem with the process. I arrived by car, and there are plenty of parking spaces out front, but as it's clearly designed for people cycling the Shimanami Kaido (I'd been cycling earlier in the day, and the route passes very close by), it's obviously very well-equipped for that too, with indoor bike parking to keep them safe and dry. The location is great too - as well as being close to the route, you're only a short walk from views of the bay and other islands.
