Located in Amsterdam, the DFDS ferry sails to Newcastle, travelling across the North Sea. The round-trip cruise features comfortable cabins and an open deck where guests can enjoy the sunlight in the day. All cabins have a private en-suite bathroom with a shower and toilet. Certain guest rooms have a desk or seating area. Superior rooms have breakfast included. Guests on board can choose between an array of dining options. North Sea Bistro offers a mix of meat- and seafood-centric dishes paired with wine, while Explorers Kitchen features an all-you-can-eat buffet of international cuisine. Coffee Crew Café serves a selection of cold and hot beverages. After dinner, guests can grab a drink in Compass Bar, listen to live music in the pub, dance the night away in the nightclub or try their luck at the casino. Sea Shop offers tax-free shopping with a variety of designer clothes and accessories, quality wines and spirits, as well as sweets and fragrances. Children can enjoy a range of activities on the ferry, including a gaming area and a children's club with maritime entertainment. There is also a cinema available for a surcharge. This 2-night cruise departs from IJmuiden in the Netherlands and arrives the next morning in North Shields. A shuttle bus between the terminal and Newcastle is included. The bus will depart from the terminal shortly after the ferry arrives and will drop you off and pick up at Bewick Street (opposite Newcastle Central Station). The bus is marked 'DFDS' and the travel time is typically 20-30 minutes. The bus will depart at Bewick Street to the DFDS terminal at 14:45 and 15:45.
