“Don't miss this for stylish, original and historic stay - a hidden gem for sure & great food”

This was the best place we stayed in Japan - it was so stylishly renovated and gorgeous - we were blown away. It felt like a secret retreat nestled in a seemingly normal town, with multiple buildings and we had two huge spaces to ourselves in the end, which were both stunning, with perfectly designed internal courtyard gardens and the rooms had free drinks, sitting areas and onsen style wooden baths. You could open the sliding doors in each bathroom to the garden spaces - so atmospheric at night. The old building were full of character and dinner in the restaurant was so good - a mix of Japanese food and french techniques which was accessible and delicious, served in the main building 10 min walk from our rooms. Do not miss this place! We will look up the other Nipponia Hotels as we loved the experience.

Hotel location is in quiet neighborhood. The rooms feature tasteful décor and offer a high level of comfort. Food quality was excellent. The ingredients of each dish were described, and appropriate alcoholic beverages were matched with each course. We enjoyed our short stay in facility.

I love how it feels traditional yet has all the modern features providing 5 star comfort. Very immersed in the local area too.

Stop 6 out of 9 on our Japanese honeymoon tour, this was the most memorable stay and our only regret was not staying for longer. The hotel is a collection of reconditioned historical buildings spread across Iga, managing to keep their heritage and charm but still being extremely comfortable and a general pleasant place to stay. The house/apartment that we were given was what I I would think of (perhaps naively) as an old and traditional Japanese home, with a few extra modern amenities such as air con, electricity and shower. Staff were as always, extremely nice and helpful in every possible way. If you do stay here, you would be a fool to miss out on the Iga beef within Nipponia's restaraunt. I cannot describe how good it was. If I didn't have 100 other reasons to return, I would return to Japan purely just to eat this again.

The hotel was amazing, the room was very spacious and nicely decorated, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff was extremely polite and nice and there was also a nice breakfast included.

We had amazing experience staying at this hotel. The hotel consists of several properties in separate location within easy walking distance. And all the staffs were very helpful and informative. Everything regarding the hotel property and facilities were excellent, very clean and well maintained. Even the breakfast was excellent, too. Definitely will come back and stay here again if we visit the area in the future.

An excellent hotel, the best hotel of our two weeks stay in Japan. We where in a room at 5 minute walk from the main lobby. The room was installed in an old wooden house with a small but nice private garden. The room was amasing, just as if we were discoevring the old Japan from the books. We have had very warm welcome from the staff, close the the highest standard hotel. The restaurant is SUPER good. For me is is close to a 1 star Michelin restaurant. All ingredients were local. I did select an option to have a match between dishes and various sake. It was a great discovery of the variety of Sake.
