We immediately received a warm welcome and a tour of the property. The family owners are incredibly hospitable. We had booked half board, and because we would leave before breakfast was served, they offered us a luxurious drink with dinner instead. A very thoughtful solution. We can definitely recommend the evening meal as well. From the main building, you have a beautiful view of the beach and the sea.

Upon arrival Yuki walked us through the property and explained how everything worked within the house. Her English is excellent even though she tried to be modest about it. The property as others have stated is in a separate building from the cafe across the road. Our room was quite spacious and even had a somewhat decent view of the ocean despite not paying for an ocean view room! It has all the necessary amenities and aside from being a bit old it is affordable and conveniently located. It also helps that all the staff are so hospitable! In the morning we had a delicious breakfast prepared and fresh coffee. The view from the cafe is outstanding and we were treated with incredible hospitality! We would absolutely return!

It's a lovely family-owned, Japanese traditional-style guesthouse close to one of the beautiful beaches and surfing spots. I stayed in the female dormitory, which has only one bunk bed, so the room wasn't crowded and there was plenty of space for luggage. The dormitory has great natural light, and I could even see the beautiful sea views from the window. The bed was soft and cozy. The shower rooms and toilets were very clean. There's a washing machine and a dryer available. The kitchen is also available, but I didn't have enough time to use it. I liked that the shower rooms, laundry area, and kitchen were separated from the dormitories, so I didn't have to worry about the noise when others were using them.It is a good choice of accommodation for surfers. There are lockable storage cabinets in the lobby, which I really loved! Yukie is very fluent in English. She is friendly, talkative, and very supportive! I really appreciate that her father picked me up from the train station, and Yukie even drove me to some famous local surf shops! The cafe owned by Yukie is in a separate building right next to the guesthouse. I loved their dinner and cafe menu. The sea view from the cafe is just amazing! I only stayed for two nights at the end of December 2025, but I would love to stay longer next time. I went to the beach for sunbathing every day; it was such a relaxing, peaceful, and wonderful time.I really miss the sunshine, the beach and the sea there. Big thanks to Yukie and her parents!

Wonderful night ! The personnel is extremely nice and thoughtful. The facility is clean and comfortable, with a wonderful view on the ocean. You have to stop by this place !

Yukie and her parents are the best hosts ! Super nice and welcoming, they made my stay at Fuego absolutely fantastic. The staff member (Chiaki) was also very nice and friendly and always smiling It's located right next to a cool surfspot and you can also watch the sunrise over the ocean with a short 5min walk from the house And don't forget to try the best curry in town for dinner

To be honest I found the most lovely people there . Yukie and her family are the warmest people . They drove me back to the closer train station and Yukie was so warm and welcoming. Even if I stayed only 1 night it was a healing break and that’s just so nice to feel so welcome. This family is a gem

Excellent staff! They were kind and helpful. Breakfast was great. The property is right on the beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Great shower, coin laundry if you need it.

Very close to the beach, great if you want to surf. The family that runs it are incredible, super welcoming friendly and informative about the area. A great place to stay will hopefully return in the future. Big shout out to Yukie for being wonderful! And helping with my japanese.

Brilliant breakfast overlooking the sea. This is a surfers place and offers spacious accommodation which is clean. The best thing is the firendliness of the family who run it. Also they speak English

Close to the beach. Excellent staff, Yukie in particular is wonderful and made my trip feel so welcoming. Facilities are tidy and well kept. The facilities are traditional which is nice. The food at the Fuego cafe is excellent and affordable.
