The location is amazing and the house felt so cozy and welcoming. Well maintained and a lot of common space. Really enjoyed staying there.

For fans of the Hannah Kent novel Burial Rites and those interested in the famous Icelandic story of Agnes Magnúsdóttir this is a special place to stay -with the historical Tjorn church and yard right next door. And the beautifully developed historical site at Þrístapar with dramatic short trail and audio tour is only a short drive away. Unlike many places you stay in Iceland you’ll probably get to meet the owner, in this case the lovely Olga who is renovating this old farmhouse.

Lovely reconstructed guest house in the middle of nowhere- literally. Beautiful decoration, large kitchen to share. Mysterious surrounding - our room was with a view to a little cemetery which is related to a famous icelandic story about two executed murderers.

For remote Iceland, this place is gold. Olga is super welcoming and everything that you need is available

Comfortable large room. Large dining kitchen with sea views if weather the were better. Comfortable lounge too. Much better than the place that I stayed in opposite Hvitserkur last year.

Absolutely amazing place, the highlight of our visit in Iceland. The house is beautiful, Olga thought of everything. You feel like at home. Also, Wi-Fi speed is great!

One of the best place, peaceful and cozy, far from civilization. Comfortable rooms. Lovely kitchen equipped with basic staff - tea, coffee , milk, salt, sugar, spices …. You may buy farmer eggs for your breakfast. Very kind owner.

Stunning place with an amazing view of the sea, close to the seal watching area (worth a visit!). The house is stunning and the bathroom is very big, we loved it!

“Epic First night in Iceland”

Location was as planed, in the middle of no where, very isolated and quite but not scary. We arrived pretty late and the host was there to welcome us and give us a quick tour. Beds were amazingly comfortable ! There was a fully equipped kitchen, with coffee & tea available as well as some banana & granola to help yourself. Bathroom was super super clean. It was perfect for us, we were there less than 10hrs, it was our first night of our itinerary

Lovely house in a great spot with gorgeous views. Large kitchen and livingroom to share with other friendly guests. Sweet decor and really comfortable beds. Remote and unique location. Close to fantastic seal watching and Hvítserkur cliff. The host was very friendly and helpful. Recommend for everyone wanting a unique experience.

All you need in the kitchen, there was someone to meet us there. Rooms are cozy and shared spaces were spacious and well equipped.

“Comfortable, spacious, clean & surrounded by empty coastline”

The photos didn't do it justice, it is spacious, comfortable, lovely rustic Icelandic decor. The kitchen had things fir cooking pretty much anything.

Best place we stayed in all of iceland doing the ring road! Would recommend to everyone, its a bit off the road but feels like home, it is very spacious and well kept! For the price it is 10/10!
