Our room was large and comfortable. We had terrace with a garden view. There is direct access to the beach from the hotel. Dinner was a la carte, but there were always great choice. For breakfast, you could order pancakes, eggs, sausages if you wanted it, but there were lots of different types of bread, cheese that you could take from the buffet.

We are a family with a 6-year-old child. The hotel consists of two sections. Guests staying at Tucana use Makadi’s main pool facilities. At Tucana, there is no open buffet. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served à la carte in a relatively small dining area. On a few occasions, we had to wait 8–9 minutes for a table. For this reason, we preferred using Makadi’s buffet restaurant instead. However, ventilation there was insufficient and the strong smell of fish was quite noticeable. My suggestion to the management would be to cook fish and meat products in an outdoor area to improve the dining experience. On the positive side, the pools are clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The gardens are beautifully landscaped — everything looks almost hand-drawn, very well designed and green. One point I truly did not understand: there is no alcohol service between 04:00 AM and 10:00 AM. In an ultra all-inclusive concept, deciding for guests when they are allowed to drink feels unnecessary and restrictive. This is not something I am used to in similar concepts. The hotel upgraded us free of charge to a Posh Club swim-up studio, which is a very nice concept. However, we clearly felt throughout our stay that it was a complimentary upgrade. While neighboring rooms had butler service, when we asked why we could not benefit from the same service, we were told we would need to pay an additional 184 euros. We preferred walking to the Oasis Pool Bar and receiving service from Osama, who was attentive and professional. If I were the operator and decided to make such gestures, I would make them wholeheartedly. In summary: if you are choosing between the two, I would recommend staying at Makadi. If you prefer Tucana, it makes sense only if you are booking and paying for the full Posh Club concept. Otherwise, Makadi may offer a more comfortable experience.
