The hostel is a little oasis in the (quite ugly) city of Huaraz. It is the perfect hub where to stay while doing day trekking around Huaraz or to ehere come back after several day excursions. Carla, the owner, is very kind, talkative and full of advices for discovering the area around. She also cooks very well and can provide dinners (best pizza in huaraz) + a lot of sweat stuff, so that in the evening u can eat directly at the place avoiding to go in town. The garden is amazing and the way the hostel, the room and the common kitchen are organized is perfect. Social aspect really taken into account: impossible not to socialize at breakfast or dinner in the common area. To be kept in mind: carla has 2 dogs, so if you do not like animals maybe this is not the spot for you. City center is 15 mins on foot, but i do not feel this is a negative point because anyway there are shops close to the house, if you need a tour they can pick you up at the hostel, and in town if really you cant walk there is uber (very very very cheap).

We loved our stay in Huaraz! The space was peaceful and cozy, with a beautiful garden with lots of space to relax, a well-equipped kitchen, and a hot shower that was perfect after hikes. Carla’s warm company made us feel right at home - not to mention her delicious pizzas and desserts! The dogs were a highlight, greeting us every morning with so much energy. The location was perfect for us: a short walk to the city in a relaxed residential area, and Carla was super helpful with tips for getting to all the nearby attractions. We were truly sad to leave!

Carla made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The hostel is a beautiful oasis in bustling huaraz, where you can completely relax and recover between the many hikes and early starts. Carla is an amazing cook, especially her desserts, which we sampled many of over our stay (apply pie was my absolute favourite!). Everyone else staying at the hostel was very like minded, swapping tips for hikes and chatting, whilst all being in bed early for the early starts! We booked for 2 nights, and stayed for 6. We could have stayed for a month we were so comfortable, but alas only so much time for travelling meant we needed to move on. I cannot recommend Tony's House enough :)

Everything was great - loved the location, having the yard to relax in. Carla is a great host, felt right at home. Wifi was good, though I didnt need it much. Lots of common areas and hammocks. Would def come back.

It’s so welcoming, the shared spaces are great for relaxing and socialising with other travellers. Carla, Milo and Canela are amazing company, it was so lovely to spend time with them :)

Carla can tell you everything about the hikes to make and is really helpful. The big garden with hammocks is great for acclimitizing and rest days between hikes. The shower is hot!! And there is a good breakfast every morning. Also the stone oven pizza is delicious! There is a shared kitchen. Recommended!!

Beautiful little property on the outskirts of Huaraz. Carla, the host is super welcoming and friendly. The breakfast provided is basic, but delicious, Carla also has a little cafe on site which sells pizzas and cakes which are really good! The rooms and clean and spacious. Overall it was a great stay!

Tony’s House Hostel was everything that we hoped for and even more. We stayed for 10 days but felt at home immediately. Carla is a super sweet and helpfull host. She knows how to create a nice environment and she knows how to cook (do not miss the Aji de Gallinas, her cakes and her pizza’s). The big garden is perfect for yoga, to relax in the hammocks or play with the dogs. Breakfast is simple but good, including juice, coffee or tea, an egg, bread, butter and jam. We had the double bed room with bathroom, it turned out to be the chalet next to the shared kitchen. It is the best room at the hostel with a little balcony with mountain sight and a private hammock-chair.

Carla is the perfect host! She is knowledgeable about the region, is a great cook, is friendly and helpful. She also speaks very good English! The ambiance is really homely.

The breakfast was a real treat. Carla was an excellent host. The location although far from town was exactly what I needed for some peace and quiet, to ground and acclimate to the altitude. The garden area was perfect for laying in a hammock, reading my book and doing my morning exercises.

Overall a nice property - very good value for money considering how cheap it is. Breakfast is super tasty with bread / jam, eggs, juice and a hot drink. Rooms clean with shared hot shower. Chilling area js nice with Carla’s gorgeous dogs. Carla also cooks really delicious food in the evenings for good prices.

We loved our stay here in Tony's house. The atmosphere is amazing and Carla the owner is an angle. She helped us with booking the agency for the Santa Cruz Trek or the bus for our following journey. She bakes the best pies and pizzas btw;) We wish you all the best Carla, thanks for making our incredible stay here in Huaraz possible.
