Loved my stay here! The owners Edwin and his wife Gabrielle have created a beautiful space here. The rooms are well maintained, the pool is lovely and there are multiple places to relax outdoors. Edwin and Gabrielle were very kind and welcoming, making feel included and at home during my solo travels. Also very cute dogs. Amazing value for price. Favorite place I've stayed in!

“Excellent for families! Absolutely worth the price.”

Location was good, 6 to 8 minute walk to center of town. 50m to beach. Restaurant options as close as 50m or as far as you want to walk. Quiet area just on the fringe of the center of town but still well within town limits. Hosts. Fantastic, relaxed and helpful. Facility. Booked a room with the kitchen, very relaxing and quite space with plenty of room, sofa, dining table, separate bathroom. Pools are excellent And space for children to play. I recommend this place for families with children I have been travelling around the world for almost two years now and this place is amongst the best places I have used for accommodation. If it is within your budget it is better than many places of higher price. Highly recommend

This was the perfect place to relax after a few long bus days. The hosts were lovely and had a very cute puppy. Well equipped kitchen with drinking water. We were the only guests so had plenty of privacy & space. Shower was hot and bed was comfy. Would definitely stay here again

great location near the ocean, but in a quiet part, beautiful garden with seating, nice pool, small cozy room with large doors that we left open to the garden all night and listened to the ocean, possibility to park a car, very helpful owners

“A nice resort walking distance from everything....”

Perfect location walking distance from everything....very clean and comfortable and very quiet .....we booked for 2 nights but we ended up staying for 5....the hosts were very friendly and helpful.

“Genuine and familyfriendly”

Montemar is a familyfriendly, safe, quiet and clean apart hotel. The place is a beautiful, green and colorful oasis close to the beach and next to the overlooking mountain. The owners, Edwin, his wife Gabriela, his brother George and their cute little dog Jagger, are very friendly and will make you feel welcome. The place has an interesting story dating back to the time of the Incas, and maybe even futher back. There are two swimmingpools, lots of sun-chairs and different outdoor spots to relax in and out of the sun. There is one big family room with a kitchen and the other rooms in different sizes all have fridges and comfortable beds. There is also a shared kitchen. Edwin or George often make a fire in the outdoor fireplace in the evenings, creating a cozy outdoor atmosphere under the moon and stars. They will happily show you their «one-match» fire-technique and share interesting stories.

“Great place to chill for a few days!”

We booked the apartment what was nice! We liked the garden and the space to chill out for a few days. Very friendly owners!! And they had a lovely dog!

A really nice, clean and peacefull place. We had 2 different rooms, because we stayed longer as we planed. Both were nice and clean. The two pools are great and extreamly clean. There is a nice kitchen you can use if you want. The place is greate located. Within a few meters you reach the sea. The bus just stops infront of the house. It is verry save and quiet. The beds are verry good. We enjoed our stay there. We could relax but also do some nice trips e.g. Chan Chan . The owners were very friendly and helped out with whatever we needed our wanted to know. Thanks for everything!

“Amazing stay.”

One of the best places we stayed in Peru. I highly recommend for peacefull and comfortable stay in Huanchaco. Place is beautifull, I loved every piece of the garden with lot of places to chill and relax. Swimming pool was super clean. Family is amazing and helped us with all information we needed, they care a lot about this place. Room was super cosy, hot water, good bed, very close to the beach and cool vegetarian restaurant. Thank you for amazing stay!!! :)

“Relax time near the beach.”

We stayed in the first floor apartment for 5 nights. It had a very good shower and a well equipped kitchen. Comfy beds. Balconies overlooking the pool. Pool was nice to relax in, and garden had plenty of loungers, seats and a hammock. Edwin, Gabby and Jorgi were all kind, helpful and responsive. We were able to check in early and use the facilities after checkout. Place is located a minute from the seafront, ten minute walk to the centre. Bus to/from Trujillo and Chan Chan passes right by.

Fantastic place to stay. Room was perfect. Location is great. It's nice to have a kitchen to cook. Pool is nice. Very secure parking.

“We loved our stay!”

An oasis of calm and comfort at the right end of Huanchaco Beach. One minute from the sea, one minute from where the bars and restaurants begin...but you never hear a thing. Elwin and Gabriel really took care of us in their wonderful retreat! Relaxing pool area and beautifully clean. Great hot showers always. We booked for three days and stayed for seven!
