The setting is wonderful. The family warm and genuinely welcoming. .the hostess is an excellent cook who makes her own preserves, pate, cured meats, etcetera. I recommend dinner if possible.i am recommending this to all my friends.

Idyllic location surrounded by hills with only the sounds of the countryside. Superb host, Iza has a passion for cooking, the homemade breakfast was delicious, only wish we'd booked early enough for dinner in the evening. Spectacular drive over the pass back to St Jean PDP.

“Outstanding stay”
This was more than a hotel, this was an experience. We chose to have the home cooked evening meal option, and it was an amazing experience. We outdoor drinks first, with the hosts family and other guests, then a beautiful home cooked meal showcasing Basque specialties with everyone. The room was very comfortable and newly renovated. The next morning a beautiful breakfast, all homemade, yoghurt, croissants, baguettes, jams and coffee and juice. The host Iza was a delightful person, who has perfected looking after guests at their lovely property.

arrived on cycles exhausted and really appreciated the welcome, room and a great evening meal. Hosta is a gorgeous village
