I had an amazing time at this apartment and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing yet convenient stay! 1️⃣ Spacious & Well-Equipped: The apartment was surprisingly large, with a private shower, toilet, and a fully functional kitchen. It felt like a home away from home—so comfortable and well-designed! 2️⃣ Beautiful Garden: There’s a lovely little garden attached to the property, which was such a peaceful spot to unwind in the morning or evening. A rare and wonderful feature! 3️⃣ Convenient Location: While not right in the city center, the apartment is reasonably close to bus stops and attractions, making it easy to get around without the noise of a busy area. 4️⃣ Great Local Recommendations: The host suggested a fantastic ramen shop nearby that opens as early as 7 AM for breakfast—perfect for early risers or hikers. They also offer lunch boxes to take on mountain hikes, which was incredibly handy! Overall, this place offers the perfect mix of comfort, space, and convenience. The house was very well presented, clean and comfortable. Senai let us leave our luggage and take the key a couple of hours before check in time, she was very helpful at check in.

“Amazing traditional house with full facilities--perfect stay for Hongu Loop!”

Sanae was so lovely and we loved the time we spent at this house. It's HUGE compared to any other accommodation we stayed at in Japan and it felt so nice having a place to ourselves to call 'home' for the short time we were here for the Hongu Loop hike. It was a perfect place to start the hike and we easily made the loop within 7-ish hours and a lunch break inbetween. It's not far from two bus stops which take you to and from the main train stations that got us back to Osaka.

Sanae-san was friendly and made sure that we have everything we needed. There property was clean, spacious and quiet so we had a great night sleep both nights.

Highly recommended to those who like to stay at authentic local house. Me and my friend both agreed that Rei is definitely underrated online! In the room, you will have a living room, tea room, tatami bedroom, kitchen, toilet and shower. Cute little garden that provide Japanese style scenery and privacy at the same time. Located in the Hongu area, 4min walk to local public bath, 5min walk to convenience store & bus stop. Very reasonable price considering we basically have the whole place for us ONLY at the night. The owner is very friendly and provided all guidance you will need. Definitely recommended!!!

Very lovely house to stay in whilst visiting Hongu. It's high on the hill with pretty gardens and a homely vibe. The host offered us ebikes to use but alas, the rain got the better of us. It's a very comfortable place to stay.
