Set within the natural setting of Hondarribia, paperkienea - artandrelax is located in the foothills of Mount Jaizkibel, opposite Txingudi Wetlands. It features large gardens, a restaurant and scenic views. paperkienea - artandrelax is a family-run accommodation which is also a paper workshop, featuring several pieces of artwork that can be purchased. Its rooms are inspired by different types of handmade paper. The ground floor features a communal lounge with TV, DVD player and free Wi-Fi. A Library also compliments the establishment. Activities like hiking or kayaking can be practised nearby. San Sebatian Golf Course is only 2.5 km away, while the city of Donosti is 20 minutes’ drive away. Free transportation to San Sebastian Airport is offered.

“Will book again!”
The house was cozy and its surroundings were amazing. I loved being outside the city, looking around at the art. Great cleanliness and staff, great English and smooth conversations. Did not have breakfast there -

“Overall, it was very good.”
The best thing was probably the nature around Paperkienea. The cottage was also super pretty and cosy. A great place to stay if you like nature and you want to spend time outside of the city.

Nice location, up a quiet lane among woods and meadows. A 20 minute walk or shortish bike ride from nearest bar/restaurant and bakery, both very good. Hondaribbia, a bit further away is a characterful place, plenty of great eating options. The property is interesting, lots of the owner's artwork on display, and the owner herself was very friendly and helpful.

“I can really recommend this place!”
The owners were extremely kind. We immediately felt at home. They even guided us to a farm nearby so that our son (2 years old) could sit on a tractor! The room was also very clean and the location is perfect. Close to the beach and San Sebastian as well!

“Amazing rural house and hosts, relaxing stay, clean and tidy.”
We love to stay in Paperkienea, it’s a rural house with so many beautiful artistic details and also beautiful views, you can even go for a walk around the area. All the house and rooms are very clean and comfortable. I loved the plants around the house and Hilda and Joe are the most adorable host, very artistic both and they have a beautiful pressed paper studio. They are very helpful and kind and always willing to help with anything. it’s very close to Hondarribia city centre.
