Situated along the Canal du Midi, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Vacancéole - Port Minervois, Les Hauts du Lac is a resort offering accommodation with a terrace or garden. It is a 10-minute walk from the village of Homps and the Jouarres Lake. Free WiFi is available at reception. “Convenient for the Canal du Midi”
A little villa on a campsite. Reception staff were friendly and communication good. We were bike touring and only booked at lunchtime on the day of arrival.

Great location. Plenty of bars/restaurants within 20 minutes of resort. Could do with an on-site store and/or cafe/bar for evenings.

“A charming and peaceful place, even better with good weather and your own transport.”
The place itself was cozy, and we really liked the mini-villa layout. We only stayed for one night and the weather was rainy, so we couldn’t fully enjoy everything this place has to offer. But it still felt very nice and relaxing.

“A nice place to switch off”
The Vila itself was quite nice with plenty of room for a group of up to about 6-8 people, and was dog friendly (for a fee of €47 per week). It has a garden which was especially great for the dog, and the communal area was well looked after and maintained. There was also a nice swimming pool, with a bar/cafe next door. Hats off to the staff that run the bar/cafe, they were amazing and made the best croissants & pain au chocolats I’ve ever had!

“Relaxing beautiful part of France , a great base for exploring the surrounding towns and city’s”
The property was comfortable enough , the beds not great but we managed , the lack of air con was our biggest dislike , there was a heatwave and trying to sleep when it’s been 39 all day and only going down a few degrees at night , this is the only thing that would stop me coming back , the location was fab we were right next to the lake and it was great for relaxing and swimming .

We were at this place just before our trip on the Canal du Midi. It was all that we needed, being basic clean and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
