The Victorian B&B was lovely, our room was surprisingly spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Our proprietor was so nice and prepared an excellent breakfast each morning (that even included duck eggs that a neighbor had dropped off). And the shared living room (parlor) is filled with a huge collection of mountain dulcimers and other stringed instruments, which my musician husband was welcome to play, so that was a fun way to spend part of an evening. Hollidaysburg is a charming town just outside Altoona, and the B&B is an easy 5-minute walk to the main square, where the shops, restaurants and magnificent courthouse are located. (We had a wonderful meal at the Mayfield, located in a historic hotel 4 blocks away.) And we paid less for our room than our relatives did at a name-brand hotel chain 5 minutes away in Altoona!

This B&B was the perfect location for our short trip. The breakfasts were excellent with many selections and Jyoti, the hostess, was extremely helpful, accommodating and informative. The ambiance was delightful and we would definately stay here the next time we're in the area.

Unique Victorian House, well furnished with a friendly host.

Jyoti's breakfast was really great and the rooms were very lovely and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much and also our talks with her.

A beautiful historic building, but with modern facilities

I would highly recommend staying here. Jyoti (who runs the B&B) was very sweet and more than accommodating. The building is a well-maintained old Victorian in an historic neighborhood, and the rooms were all very well kept and interesting.

Breakfast was more than expected.

Location is a beautiful, safe, neighborhood with easy walking access to town restaurants, pubs, and shops. It is a quiet setting with shade trees.

Jyoti was an incredible host, the food was EXCELLENT (we ate so much that we were still full hours later and basically skipped lunch), and she was terrific with my gluten allergy. I can't say enough about how great the food was and how accommodating Jyoti was. If you have any allergy concerns, stay here, she will take care of you. The room was beautiful - we stayed in the Magdalena Room and my wife loved the canopy bed, said it made her feel like a princess. The whole house was terrific, the location is good (quiet area, very safe), really nothing negative from us.
