I loved my stay at Mapache, the vibe is really chill and I loved the activities and the people working there. It’s really close to the beach and the breakfast was also good.

I loved staying at Mapache! The crew working here is amazing. They make a different breakfast every morning, organize activities and take you to the good places on the island. Everything is very chill and low key. Would highly recommend and would love to come back some day!

The location is perfect to be in town and very close to the beach. The stuff doing an amazing job and helping and entertaining wherever they can. Also the dorm was quite comfortable.

The hostel is great and the breakfast is changing daily (and always good). The staff was really nice and accommodating. There are always different events happening in the evening and one night we went to see the bioluminescence (for free)

The activites they offered everyday where really nice. I went with them to the bioluminescence spot that normally costs if you book it officially. The personal is super friendly. The location is very close to a wonderful beach.

I had a very good time in Mapache Hostel! The location, the vibes, the people, everything was just great! Even the breakfast with the daily extras was nice and big enough. Totally recommend it!

“Simple and affordable for backpackers and couples”

I loved the little tent shaped Bungalow. The mosquito net protected us well. Staff was helpful and kind. Outside sitting area was nice. Showers had warm and cold water. Toilets were clean. Compound not far from the beach. Maybe 7 minutes walking. My tip: if you want to see the bioluminiscence, just take a walk to the beach by the lagoon (40 minutes). No need for an organized tour. But make sure you take mosquito repellent and shoes to walk in water.

I only planned to stay 2 nights, but I kept extending and extending. I ended up staying for 3 weeks in total. I made so many friends. The staff, both receptionists (Sam y Pao) and volunteers (Pablo - the Best chef!, André, Bianca!) made me feel so welcome and at home. I had the time of my life. It all felt like one big family, sharing beautiful moments together, and food. I stayed in a tent, which was very comfortable!! The common area is very chill with lots of hammocks.

Everything was beautiful! From the little cabañas to the staff, from the location to the breakfast. Great people and good vibes !

The location is amazing. Close from the beach and the center. Yet it is so calm !! The garden area is also great, plugs and hammock are available.

The outdoor space was nice. The bed was very comfortable. The hostel had a cozy feel.

All the staff were absolutely amazing (Pao, Lily, Sabrina, Sam, Gaya and so on)! So friendly and helpful during my stay. The location is perfect, just steps from the beach. Loved the chill vibe of the hostel!
