Overview
El Corazón Boutique Hotel at Holbox, Mexico it's an adults only hotel with an eco-friendly concept. For us, helping to preserve the ecology of this lovely island is essential. Therefore all our mattresses are made of bamboo, which helps maintain a cooler temperature than polyester and the sheets are 100% cotton. Also the cleaning products we use are biodegradable and the personal hygiene products in all rooms are organic, produced in the surroundings of the island and we provide them in recyclable containers, since we have a 0% policy on plastics consumption. Most of the energy we use comes from solar panels and the entire luminaire is energy efficient. The structures are like the typical holboxeño style, cement moldings and natural palapa roofs. Also, most of the furniture are made of recycled wood. El Corazon Boutique Hotel is located in the hotel zone, just one block away from the beach. We have eleven rooms, so we can provide a personalized service in a family atmosphere. We have three different room styles to satisfy our guests needs with the best amenities; Two Executive Suites with private terrace, wide and luminous, both rooms are equipped with king-size beds, large showers for couples to enjoy their privacy and the tranquility of the place. Four Superior rooms, also with king size beds and balcony area with garden view to rest and enjoy of a natural environment. Five Deluxe rooms with king-size beds, two of them in the lower level with balcony and outdoor furniture to relax all times of the day. All our rooms have air conditioning, coffee maker machine and free Wi-Fi service. In the common areas you can relax in the hammocks or enjoy our breakfast at the terrace with an incredible view of the surroundings of the island. “Great property to enjoy Bacalar”
Beautiful property and rooms. Great rooftop where the breakfast is and you can also go to see the sunrise and sunset (and if lucky get to see some raccoons :)). Having the beach club pass is a huge plus as it made our stay in Bacalar much easier by not having to think about where to go to enjoy the beautiful beach. Close enough to go to the port and center walking.

El Corazón Boutique Hotel is a beautiful, peaceful oasis with wonderful hosts. Fabio and Simone (I hope I got your names right!) truly put their hearts into what they do, and you can feel it in every detail. The entire house is stunning. Thoughtfully designed in a way that perfectly reflects the local style, with unique and charming touches everywhere. The whole space is arranged so you can enjoy your privacy without being disturbed by other guests. Beyond the rooms, there are lovely relaxation areas with hammocks, and a beautiful garden where you can truly unwind and enjoy the calm atmosphere. But it’s not just about the design. Everything is cared for with so much love and attention, and it’s kept impeccably clean at all times. As we say in my home country, “it’s so clean you could eat off the floor” ☺️ On top of that, the breakfast included in the price is absolutely amazing. Fresh, homemade, and prepared with love using local ingredients. You can choose from four different breakfast options, and it comes with a hot drink and fresh juice. Honestly, the best breakfast in the world! What really completes the experience is the incredible staff. Everyone is so kind, helpful, and welcoming. You truly feel at home here, maybe even better than at home 😁 The owners and staff create such a peaceful atmosphere, in harmony with the island and nature. The beach is just around the corner, and the town center is within walking distance. At the same time, the hotel is perfectly tucked away from the noise, giving you the best of both worlds. I’ve lived in many places around the world and traveled quite a bit, and I can honestly say this is the best place I’ve ever stayed. Not just on Holbox, not just in Mexico, but anywhere in the world. In fact, we loved it so much that after checking out and continuing our travels, we decided to come back again during the same trip and stay with Fabio and Simone once more. So when people say “we’ll be back,” we already have.

Highly recommend this hotel! It felt like a little slice of luxury and sanctuary on Holbox Island. The rooms were super clean and the staff really friendly. They were proactive with recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The breakfast was also amazing, with lots of different options that kept us full all day. We really appreciated the access to the beach club too.

“Exceptional hotel and staff.”
The attention to detail with the property was exceptional. The decor, the staff and the bed was so comfortable. There are filtered water machines hot and cold, lovely shower gel and tea and coffee in the room. On arrival Fabio greets you with a fresh fruit juice. Our cases were taken to our rooms by lovely staff. The breakfast on the roof is lovely. Great coffee and service. Fabio and Sonia the reception staff very helpful and offered you the beach club tickets every day. This hotel is just so beautiful. Located away from the busy area just a couple of minutes walk. We will be back.

“Beautifully designed, clean and comfortable”
We loved our time here! The hotel is tastefully decorated, rooms are very clean and the bed is super comfortable. We got passes to a beach club a short walk away which was lovely. Everyone at the hotel was helpful and welcoming. The breakfast truly delicious. Everything 10/10, we will be back!

“The perfect place to stay in Holbox!”
El Corazon Boutique was amazing! From the moment we arrived we were greeted with kindness. Our room was incredible, smelt amazing, and the location was perfect with the added bonus of the beach club! The breakfast was delicious 10/10 and they accommodated to my vegan dietary requirements too….nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were so attentive - I would 100% recommend El Corazon to all my friends and family. Also the rooftop terrace offered an amazing sunrise view too. “Absolutely wonderful hotel!”
The hotel is truly exceptional — from the genuine kindness of the staff, to the beautifully designed rooms where every detail is thought through, to the impressive cleanliness (which I have no idea how the team manages to maintain given the muddy streets!), all while being so discreet and professional. Delicious breakfasts are served in a lovely rooftop setting with a great atmosphere. We also really appreciated the helpful WhatsApp messages full of useful information — from ferry schedules to restaurant and tour recommendations. The rooms are equipped with coffee machines (and coffee!), tea sets, and wonderful eco-friendly cosmetics made in Mexico — such a lovely surprise! The hotel also provides access to a fantastic beach bar. We stayed for three nights and honestly wish it had been longer — both the hotel and the island are amazing. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality! If we ever return to the island, we’ll definitely stay with you again — and we’ll be recommending you to all our friends.
