Great stay, wish I had stayed a week for how nurturing the place was!! Secluded feel, a refuge, hammocks set in forest etc. no WiFi so you recharge. great bohemian place for the soul, hand made, free water. Caretaker K amazing n generous. Sleep n wake to birds lots of friendly geckos too! Great location - you can hit the beach in three minutes and go left for a quiet experience and right for all the beach clubs. No snorkeling on Holbox. Food is very expensive on the island so bring it with you? Book online for ADO to save your pesos.

its a very charming basic camping, in the middle of a palm tree grove. its near the iluminesent beach! its a recco if you want a calmer surrounding then the rampup beach bars closer to the center

The campsite was beautiful and my little bungalow had all I needed for the night. There was a great vibe and the staff were very friendly and helpful, I felt really welcome. I was only on Holbox for one night but loved it so much that I will be going back and will stay at Balam Camping again!

It was everything I was looking for, a quiet and beautiful spot, close enough to the beach which was still keeping and maintaining the idea of ecotourism

Best camping of Holbox

Nice camping and friendly atmoshere, away from busy beach and Holbox centre, pleasure sleep in nature and listen birds in the morning. Also, close to nice beach:)

Keep in mind this place is a basic campground out of town. If you like to stay in the luxury and business of the island go somewhere else. That said we loved it, relaxed atmosphere, nice staff and close to some quiet beaches. Ended up extending our stay a few nights.

Everything is very clean, the beach is super close and the staff helps you out whenever I needed something! highly recommendable!

the campsite is well located because it's close to the beach and far from the hustle and bustle of the island's town centre. However, access to this city center is quick and easy on foot or by bike. the campsite staff is great and the atmosphere is really soothing.
