Relaxing and very comfortable stay. Great food, extremely pleasant room. Really lovely people who made us feel like family! Would highly recommend if you’re after tranquillity, expansive views and a touch of luxury at a very affordable price.

“Fantastic lodge in the bush”

Location superb, beautiful lodge surrounded by bush and animals. Quiet, tranquil, 8.5km from the main roads, 30km from Hoedspruit, an hour's drive from the Kruger Park. Close to Blyde River Canyon, a must see! Nice big room and bathroom. Fantastic hosts, in Lucas and Dianne, staff very friendly and helpful. Massive pool to dive into when 37deg! Zebras that greet you at your bedroom window first thing in the morning :-)

Nothing not to like! Great food, spotless rooms and wonderful hosts. Great pool to watch the animals come down to feed. Excellent game drive organised at a good price. Lovely young hosts that we wish all the best for in the future.

Lucas and team made our stay exceptional. Will definitely be visiting again.The room was spotless and well-maintained, exceeding expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing excellent service throughout the stay. The location was also ideal, with easy access to nearby attractions(quad-bike-safari, kruger national park,.Blyde River Canyon etc) I would highly recommend this stay.

“Lovely relaxing stay surrounded by nature”

Absolutely loved my stay at Thandolwami! The most peaceful and relaxing place out in the bush, just what I needed! The rooms and lodge itself have lovely traditional wooden features and a huge pool to relax! There's a watering hole just outside of the fence with lots of animals visiting every day as well as birds. The staff were all so friendly and made me feel really at home. Food was great, especially dinner with lots of delicious dishes every evening. Also helped me to arrange game drives in Kruger as well as smaller private reserves. Thanks to Dianne, Lucas and the whole team!

“Perfect”

The whole property is just amazing. Set in a peaceful reserve either a waterhole you can see from the pool. The accommodation was second to none; the staff were exceptional and everything was perfect. The staff had just taken over from the old owners and were doing a fantastic job.

Not impressed with the fact that I was told to pay before my stay while Bookings.com gives you option to pay at the property and they cancelled my stay without informing me

The owners hosted us, a lovely family. We wished we had planned better and stayed on for a few more days. Breakfast was really good. The place is so tranquil, and staff are always ready to assist.

“Wonderful relaxing stay”

Lovely property with very friendly owner and staff who really looked after you. Definitely much better than staying in Hoedspruit if you have a vehicle. Meals were really excellent. Due to the late dry season they were hand feeding the game daily so I had a great opportunity to see Sable, Eland and other game up close. Very relaxing.

Clean, modern facilities run by the most amazing staff we have ever encountered in all our travels. Lusando, Paulina, Yvonne, Lucas and Tshepo made sure we had a memorable stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they made sure our every request was provided. The food prepared and presented by Pauline and Yvonne was outstanding and generous. The bonus of having the watering hole and feeding point right next to the restaurant was fabulous as the amazing animals could be viewed while we had breakfast and most of them could be seen there throughout the day. We also appreciated the complimentary game drives with the informative Lusando and Lucas. Seriously I cannot say enough good things about this place, I highly recommend it. We were sorry to leave and will definitely be back, just to experience the warm hospitality again. Keep up the awesomeness.
