I have an auto-immune disorder with specific dietary restrictions. The chef and the staff were kind enough to cater a menu to my needs and I'm so grateful for the special meals that they prepared for me. The room itself was spacious and the entire facility is very calm and relaxing.

Location, facilities and staff

Super property close to the airport making it perfect for a pre or post inner game park stay. Alternatively I guess you could base your self here and arrange bush activities from outside the park. Super clean, safe and friendly. We arranged evening food direct which was excellent. The young adults in our party went for a short cycle ride around the gated estate and loved bumbling into giraffes and zebras. Munda was a great start to our Kruger experience after a long flight from London. Very small number of rooms so it almost felt we were living in our own villa. Very stylish.

It’s hard to pick just one thing we liked, because honestly, this was one of the best stays we’ve had in all our extensive travels. Missing out on a place like this would be a real shame, the accommodation, interior, and rooms were absolutely top-notch. The location was also perfect for visiting Kruger National Park. A big thank you to Ruan and his wife for making the experience even more unforgettable. Do not miss this spot while you can!

The lodge is absolutely beautiful! It's clean, slots perfectly into the wildlife estate, making you feel part of it, and so comfortable. Drinks by the pool, breakfast with impala strolling by and sundowners by the firepit...all amazing. Plus, the hosts Ruan and Jen are so friendly and welcoming. They even gave us loads of recommendations for the Cape Town part of the trip.

Incredible location well located in Hoedspruit! Ruan and his family (owners of the lodge) were super welcoming and so friendly. They let their home become ours which was a very personal touch! Would highly recommend!

The owners were amazing hosts, and they personally made sure our stay was comfortable. We requested bikes to cycle, and they cheerfully prepared the bikes and cleaned them up for us. Overall experience was exceptional

Quiet and peaceful

“Don't book anywhere else - this is THE place to stay in Hoedspruit”

We thought we were only going to crash for a night after a long flight and before starting a safari the next day, but we were absolutely mind blown by how amazing everything was. Perfect location in the middle of what is called "Wildlife Estate" which gives you a chance to see wild animals strolling nearby (we almost saw all the same animals we saw on the safari strolling around the lodge), this is an astounding place with a beautiful room which makes you feel you're in a dream! Last but not least - Ruan and Jenny were very friendly and informative on things to do, and even gave us recommendations about Cape Town which was our next stop. For a small fee, we pre-arranged dinner (which was delicious and cooked by one of their chefs) and transfer from the Hoedspruit airport as well. Communication was easy and Ruan was very responsive. It was such a shame that we only spent one night - had we known how calm and beautiful it all was, we would have 100% extended our stay. So sad to have left but I rave about it. There couldn't have been a more perfect welcome to South Africa.

We had a fantastic stay at Muunga Bush Lodge & Spa. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with fresh, flavorful meals that exceeded our expectations. The host was incredibly easy to communicate with and made our stay even better by providing plenty of recommendations. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we'd definitely stay here again!"
