We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. It has a unique vintage charm and a wonderful location. The food was excellent, with a great selection and outstanding quality. Special thanks to the friendly receptionist who welcomed us warmly and was helpful throughout our stay. The rooms are comfortable, and the hotel offers a lovely historical atmosphere. The only minor drawback is that the bathroom could use a little more maintenance and updating. Nevertheless, our overall impression was excellent, and we would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hluboká nad Vltavou.

The food was great - breakfast had a nice assortment of both warm and cold items, and dinner was high-quality. I enjoyed the peaceful surroundings (might be less peaceful in tourist season).

“A piece of history by the Castle Hluboka”

Very nice hotel, the building itself belonged to the Hluboka Castle, these were the stables and servants' quarters before they got renovated and became hotel. The Castle entrance is approx 100 m from the Hotel entrance, with a fantastic garden worth to visit too. The room was clean and wifi was strong despite the old thick walls. It was really soundproof too. The restaurant was great, fast service time, high quality and good quantity portions, very kind staff.

“Hidden gem in a lovely little town”

The phrase “hidden gem” is overused but this place truely is. We stayed for one night to break up the last leg of our road trip from Austria to Prague. We still cannot get over what good value this place was. Coming from Ireland, similar properties and quality of service would be far out of our price range but we experienced it here for a fraction of the price. The grounds are beautiful, the room was ornate, big and comfortable with good amenities. The food and wine was exceptional, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The wellness area has a small pool, steam room and jacuzzis but also surprisingly had a two lane bowling alley and a golf simulator (I think these two need to be booked in advance). I’ve seen some comments saying parking was difficult but in our experience it was straightforward and plenty of safe parking on the road outside and we were given a tag to place on our car at check in. Breakfast was excellent with a large selection from buffet. 10/10

“You will feel on top of the world at Hotel Stekl!”

We felt very privileged to stay in the Hotel Stekl, which is virtually an Annex to the adjacent landmark castle, which is visited by thousands every day. Therefore, the hotel is at the top of a quite steep hill, so there are beautiful views. The staff were extremely helpful ,and as we stayed for 11 days , we made friends with many. The restaurant food was outstanding.

Authentic castle hotel next to Hluboka castle. It has big rooms, kitchen is good, not expensive. Pet friendly. Exhibited Excalibur car is amazing. We loved it, the style.

Fantastic stay! It's right in the Hluboká Castle dependency, with castle-like furniture, a nice pool, and a sauna. A high-end hotel experience.

“Elegant castle hotel”

Really elegant hotel in a castle. Spacious and comfortable room with a small stairs to a lookout on the roof of the castle. Very gracious staff and good food in the restaurant too! The pool area is small but still really nice.

Everything was just perfect - location, our room, staff, food, etc. Really good value for money. Pool is very small, but since it was never too many people in the spa area, it was enough for us to enjoy it. Will definitely come back in the future.

Our room was beautifully furnished with stunning views. The room and bath were both spacious and comfortable and the whole ambience was special and romantic. The proximity to the castle and park was great -- we enjoyed lovely walks and also the art museum that is located in the castle grounds. Both dinner and breakfast were tasty. The wellness area was pleasant. Would recommend and stay again.
