We had a truly wonderful stay at Hítarneskot. The house is beautifully designed and feels both cozy and thoughtfully put together. You can tell that a lot of care and attention to detail has gone into creating this place. The surroundings are peaceful and offer a perfect setting to slow down and enjoy nature. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease. I would definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back.

“Beautiful”

Fully equipped. The view and the jacuzzi are great. Very clean and new. Washing machine, dishwasher, and heating available. Beautiful view.

We stayed in the one bed cabin, which was very new and in perfect condition. The communication was great before our stay and made the journey and entry very easy. The heating is particularly good and heats up very fast. All the basic cooking facilities you would need are provided. The kitchen is equipped with oil, and seasoning and coffee. The hotub was on upon our arrival and we simply hopped in. The location and view is spectacular. There are two cabins adjacent to each other, but with enough privacy. Also a horse field is directly opposite, and the playful Icelandic horses were great to watch. I would 100% return.

We had a wonderful stay in Iceland! The place was clean, cozy, and very comfortable after long days of exploring. The location was peaceful and beautiful.

“Cosy getaway”

Great location. Loved it. In the middle of nowhere, almost. Peace and quiet. No light pollution so we were able to enjoy a beautiful starry night with northern lights.

The house was very spacious, isolated and quiet. The nature and the view were just amazing. The hosts were available all the time and gave us instructions about shopping which was very useful since the location is in the countryside. From the location of the accomodation we had 30-90 minutes drive to most of the sightseeing places in Snæfellsnes. I would reccomend it to everyone! :)

“Comfortable big house in a wonderful location”

The location which was far from the nearest town and allowed us to see the northern lights. The house is very spacious, the owner reacts quickly if sth happened ( in our case the radiator stopped working)

“Brandnew modern cottage with spectacular views from sunrise to sunset”

Brandnew cottage. Modern, stylish, clean and very comfortable. Perfectly equipped, everything you need is available. Views from the room are spectacular, from sunrise to sunset. The tub is comfortable and you can see the stars/polar ligths (if you are lucky) directly from the warm water.

It was quite new and isolated. Beautiful scenery. Amazing hot tub. Perfect little well equipped tiny house. We didn’t get good weather though, we were hoping to stargaze but the weather did not permit. We live in Reykjavik and it’s a great weekend getaway, we will definitely be back. Also the road to the accommodation was fine to drive and flat for those worried. It has washing up liquid, oil, salt and pepper, kettle, microwave, but no oven, fine for us to cook without. The bathroom has a hairdryer, washing machine, laundry powder and a heated towel rail.

The surrounding was fabulous and the outdoor hot tub was amazing!

“Only let down was the shower”

Clean accommodation. Large viewing windows. Had a Tv. Easy view instructions throughout accommodation. Dining was very nice and large. Comfortable beds. Had a washing machine.

“A peaceful, scenic getaway that exceeded all expectations.”

The cottage was absolutely excellent—far better than we expected! It’s exactly as advertised: remote, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. We loved every minute of it. The view from the cottage is stunning, and the hot tub was the perfect bonus that made the stay even more relaxing. We would absolutely come back!

“Very Good”

We stayed here last night and everything was perfect. The house is new, well equipped, and easy to access following the host’s directions. It’s also listed on Google Maps, so it’s easy to find. I had originally booked the basic apartment without a hot tub. On the day of our arrival, the host contacted us to let us know that they had upgraded our booking for free, and we would have access to a private outdoor hot tub. Fantastic! We jumped into the hot water as soon as we arrived, and at that exact moment, the Northern Lights appeared. Incredible — perfect timing! I highly recommend this apartment. Just keep in mind that it’s a bit far from gas stations or supermarkets, so make sure to plan ahead.
