The uniqueness of the sleep area (the sleeping area seems to be made from old apple creates)

This guesthouse in Hirosaki is quite cool ! I stayed 4 nights during the Hirosaki Cherry Blossom festival. The location is great, like 10min away from the Hirosaki Castle 😍 I loved the little bunk beds made in wood. They actually have enough space inside to put your luggage at the bottom of your bed (if its not a suitcase maybe, I had a backpack) and there is a little place near the pillow with lights and space to put your stuff for the night (water bottle etc..) I find it pretty confy! Staff was really nice even if their English is sometimes not really good, we could always understand each other and they were super kind! They helped me plan my stay when I asked questions about the area which I really appreciated 😊 I have tatoos and always ask my hosts if they know any tattoos friendly onsen, and one of the lady staff really helped me by calling some onsens for me to see if they would accept tatoos! Super kind ☺️ Outside the "dormitory" there is separate men and women toilets. Inside the "dormitory", even if its like a mixed dorm, there is a "women only" bathroom with shower, toilet, a table and a desk with a miror inside which was nice. And also a mixed shower and desk with sinks. There is a tiny kitchen with a fridge, microwave and basics cooking stuff. Also few tables in the middle of the dorm. The Guesthouse runs a café on the ground level, when its not open you can use this big area to eat your own food. Its nice has it has tables, chairs and couchs.

The staff were really chill and friendly. The atmosphere was very cool, the place was gorgeous and the cafe downstairs looked great!

There was plenty of space, an excellent downstairs café which served as a guest lounge after hours. The facilities were modern and immaculate. The staff were friendly and helpful. The café served an apple and ginger tea which was delicious.
