Nice and quiet location within the old town of Himarë; clean room; terrace with a view; very friendly owners

“FANTASTIC AUTHENTIC STAY! High recommend!”

I absolutely loved this property, we had a lovely welcoming, the place felt authentic, the dog pablo is really friendly, also the owners and the volunteers were really helpful. We would sit in the stunning bar area and have lovely conversations with the owners & guests whilst admiring the view. The place is really clean & beautiful. The breakfasts were brilliant, it was quiet at night which we found some places in Albania to be very loud so that was perfect for a good nights rest. If you get chance to walk around the old town of Himare I would recommend as I really enjoyed it early in the morning, great views, interesting historical things to see and overall a cute town.

I like the view

Beautiful small place in the coziest and most authentic mountain village, with very kind hosts and a stunning view over the Albanian Riviera. A peaceful and charming stay — highly recommended.

Orestis was the best host we had in Albania. He was very knowledgeable about the country history and since the first moment he left us comfortable to contact him for whatever reason. The house is more beautiful in person than in the pictures. The view is amazing and the breakfast wonderful 😊 moreover, the house it's in the old city of Himare what makes the experience even more special!

Phantastic place with amazing sea and mountain views. Spacious room with a wonderful balcony and a very comfortable bed. Hosts are extremely nice and welcoming and breakfast is totally worth the price. A car might be useful, I didn’t have one, but still managed to hike down to the very beautiful (at least in the second half of September) Livadhi beach in around 25 minutes. Public buses from Saranda to Vlora or Tirana (or back) stop in the village upon request.

“Wonderful stay in paradise.”

The location of the property is exceptional. Views to die for. Our rooftop terrace was so comfortable and cool, with such amazing panoramic views, that we were happy to while away many hours there with a daily short trip to swim in the sea. The apartment was very clean and spacious, a real ‘home from home’. A place to let life slow down! The staff that we met were lovely and very helpful when my partner was taken ill (Thankyou). The setting is in Old Himare, just below the castle, which was fun to explore. There is plenty of parking although not right next to the property - 2 or 3 minutes walk.

We stayed at Amphora Guesthouse for 12 wonderful days and it truly exceeded all our expectations. The hospitality is outstanding – Fredrika and Oresti are amazing hosts, always welcoming, kind, and ready with great tips for exploring Himarë and the surrounding area. They really go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Every morning, for a small fee, we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast in a magical setting. Sitting outside with breathtaking views of the sea and the mountains while starting the day was simply unforgettable. The location in Old Himarë is so peaceful, with the charm of old stone houses, olive and fig trees, and a beautiful view to the beaches. The apartments themselves are cozy, very clean, and fully equipped with everything you might need. They offer comfort and privacy, but also a warm, homely feeling. Waking up to such an incredible view every day was a highlight of our stay. We can wholeheartedly recommend Amphora Guesthouse to anyone who wants a relaxing, authentic and unforgettable stay in Himarë. P.S. We will truly miss Pablo, the sweetest little dog – he made our stay even more special!

The guesthouse is beautiful! Views from the balcony are stunning. We got lots of great recommendations from the hosts on the best restaurants and beaches nearby to vist. The apartment was located in the beautiful old town and parking wasnt too far away.

Fantastic location, right next to Old Town and close to the beaches. A great view from room. Very clean, the hosts were very informative and provided lots of recommendations for places to eat and beaches to visit. Breakfast was very reasonably priced and delicious! Would definitely come back!

“Amazing Stay”

The location was superb as well as the property itself. The village is very authentic and beautiful. We had a private balcony with an amazing sea view, it was top. The owners were very friendly and recommended us a lot of nice restaurants and coffee shops to visit. I recommend the Coffee Butterfly that is a few meters from the guesthouse. The breakfast was rich and delicious! We really enjoyed our stay.
