Overview
Overlooking the Rietspruit and Umgeni Valleys in the Natal Midlands, The Hilton Bush Lodge is located in Hilton. Pietermaritzburg is 22 km from the property. Free private parking is available on site. All units are fitted with a microwave, kettle, toaster, and small fridge as well as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and biscuits for your enjoyment. The Luxury Suites have fully fitted kitchens and scullery area (dishwasher and washing machine). Every bedroom has an ensuite bathroom (only the Luxury Suites and Superior Rooms have a bath and shower). All rooms have a limited DSTV selection (including Sports channels). There is a seating and dining area in the Luxury Suites only. While we do not have a restaurant on-site, we do offer a two-course dinner between 18h00 and 20h30 (Monday to Thursday) at R 185.00 per person. Booking for dinners must be made by midday. We offer a Full English Breakfast (Monday to Friday, between 07h00 and 09h00) along with Cereals, Yoghurt, Fresh Fruit, Fruit Juice, Toast, and Preserves. Guests can enjoy relaxing at the pool (swimming towels to be collected from reception), bird watching from their private deck, and a walk to the top of the Rietspruit Falls. The nearest airport is Pietermaritzburg Airport,35km from The Hilton Bush Lodge. King Shaka International Airport is 125 km away. The average time for processing requests is 48 hours.

The Cottage was nestled amongst natural trees and indigenous vegetation and blended well into its surroundings offering a wonderful private and relaxing stay. Stunning views of the rolling mountains and cliffs and the misty mornings made the start of the day special. The rooms are spacious with tasteful decor and 5-star comfort. Anyone who loves the outdoor country feel must put this lodge on their bucket list. Friendly staff and a wonderful host, and a generous breakfast to get your day going.

Room is spacious enough for 2 persons. sufficient cupboard space. Bathroom & toilet facilities is a good size. Bed was very comfortable. the destination is very quiet so you sleep well. great view over the valley looking at the waterfall. traditional english breakfast is included.

“Disappointing, web pictures are misleading.”
The lodge is in need of a lot of maintenance. Outdoor wooden furniture, windows and doors are old and flimsy. Interior needs refurbishing, curtains are stained.

“An pleasurable experience”
The picturesque views of the mountains. The room was lovely. Saw quite a few wildlife. The manager was on the ball with helping us at any given time.

The lounge area includes a fireplace, casual seating, and a dining area. There is an outdoor boma with a fire pit and braai facilities. All our rooms have a private deck with a view.
