A quiet and unobtrusive staff and location. I found my stay extremely relaxing within close proximity to what Hikkaduwa has on offer.

Outstanding hotel with beautiful bungalows and pool. Didier and his team were very friendly and helpful. They even postponed breakfast one day for us until we came back from scuba diving. The whole place is clean and well kept.

“Villa Vidisa could easily be the sweet home station for a long holiday in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka.”

I stayed at the lovely Villa Vidisa as a solo traveller and quickly everyone there made me feel much like at home. Instead of staying for only two nights I quickly doubled my nights there, but would have happily even stayed for longer or revisit if I have the chance. The hosts and staff are very helpful and open minded. The lush green garden around the house makes a perfect quiet nest off from the main road of the town and beach life, busy especially during the high season. I enjoyed the short walk to reach the town centre with everything available at hand, and it was good to get back to the quieter streets in the evening with only the surrounding orchestra of the tropical birds. The pool and shared seating area in the garden are great, also the small terrace part in front of each room to sit more privately. My room itself was simple, but contained everything essential – a wide shower, fresh towels, mosquito net, air conditioning. Also have to say that having no TV-s in the rooms is a perfect idea as time spent in Hikkaduwa has to be outside, for which the Vidisa offers very good conditions.

Nice and beautiful place. Quite. Not so far from Narigama beach, bus stops, tuk-tuk etc, but same time you can't hear a noisy road or music from cafes. Very comfortable for sleeping. Great garden, alot of different birds, feels really close to teh nature. Pool that you can swim anytime you want. Good breakfast. Really helpful stuff, really nice people. Thank you Didier. Hope Toby feels better. It was a really pleasnt stay.

Nice bungalows with swimming pool. Nice and helpfull staff. You can see lot of different animals here - nothing scary but a lot of fun for kids. Nice garden which is oasis after crowdy Hikkaduwa.

Everything was amazing!

Hotel owner is very helpful and hospitable. He is ready to answer all the questions in any part of the day. Owner is ready to recommend all the sightseeings around and ready to solve all your everyday questions and issues (best places to eat, to change money etc.). Calm beach ffor swimming with children and with wild turtles is very close to the hotel (5 minutes by foot). In case you ar interested in wild elephants you should ask DeeDee about best place to see them (in the north part of an island).. Very good and helpful personell, breakfasts on demand.

“AN ABSOLUTE GEM, BOOK YOU WON’T REGRET IT!”

Absolutely everything Didier the owner was prompt with replying when I had questions before I arrived. We had a lovely warm welcome from Didier, Trudy, his staff and Toby his beautiful dog from the minute we stayed. Didier showed us where to go to see the huge turtles and restaurants. Villa Vidisa is very centrally located near lots of bars and restaurants and the beach. Villa Vidisa itself is an oasis with stunning pool in beautiful gardens. The rooms are huge with a big bed, excellent air conditioning lovely shower and we had a view to the pool. The breakfast Trudy made was beautiful and included in the price fruit, curd, juice she cooked a lovely vegetarian breakfast and non vegetarian for my family. You would be mad not to book this place if you stay in Hikkaduwa. The genuine warmth and friendliness here from Didier and his staff are a credit to him. We stayed in a 5 star hotel in Colombo after for my sister’s birthday and we all wished we had stayed at Villa Vidisa for an extra night. Thank you all so much Didier we had a great time.

it's a hidden gem of Hikkaduwa. beautiful garden, relaxing pool and the staff who would see it their priority to make one feel welcomed and taken care of. Didier, the owner, creates magical friendly environment for each guest. the rooms are clean, very well and cozy decorated. breakfast is fresh, balanced and nutritient.

Great quiet location in a beautiful garden. Villa Vidisa is much more than a nice hotel, it has a real soul, made by the warmheartedness and genuine hospitality and inclusiveness of Didier, the host. “Amazing”

A piece of Europe with Sri Lankan flavor. Very comfortable, welcoming and quite environment. Friendly and interesting hosts. Cozy large patio with big fans, where you can have breakfast or take a rest during hot noon hours, or socialize with other guests (if you want to). And the pool - fantastic! Very close to the beach with turtles and the coral reef with a great variety of fish - and masks are available for free to the guests. I loved this guest house and would highly recommend it.
