“Luxury away from the bustle”

This felt like a luxury couple of days in hikkadua. The property is absolutely stunning, the rooms are huge and the staff were lovely. We liked how it was a little bit inland to the main area, it is a short 15 minute walk to beach area or a tuk tuk. The rooms are spacious, and beautifully decorated. The outdoor area was perfectly setup for relaxing with beanbags, chairs and hammocks.

Beautiful spacious & clean rooms, comfortable bed, air conditioning & ceiling fan, mosquito net, spare linen, lovely large bathroom & everything you need for a comfortable stay. Staff were fantastic & were always there to help. Pool & garden surrounds are stunning. A short tuk tuk ride to the beach.

“Excellent stay at Tropical House.”

For me, this was the perfect location and accommodation to relax and recharge. The gardens and pool area are beautiful and so well kept. The hotel staff were all so welcoming and friendly and went over and above to make sure we had a great time. Tharanga made us a wonderful Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner (overall the breakfast was great quality and plentiful - all beautiful fresh ingredients and fruit). The hotel is a short Tuk Tuk ride down to the town (and it is also walkable - it was just a little too hot). Ruchira was on hand with his Tuk Tuk to take us to local attractions - we felt very safe - excellent driver. In summary I would highly recommend Tropical House and I can't wait to return again - thanks all for taking our stay in Hikwadua so memorable.

“A hidden tropical gem with amazing staff and food.”

We were shuffling locations and hotels while waiting the extra 14 days forced upon us while trying to get a flight home. We wanted to find something close to, but not on the beach strip of Hikkaduwa. Turns out this hidden paradise should have been our first and only stop. What a hidden gem, just a few minutes away from the action. Only a handful of bedrooms, but set in a gorgeous landscaped garden, with terraces leading down to a huge pool. Our room was massive, with lovely bathroom, and a divine covered seating area outside our room. Taranga and the team could not have been more welcoming and tried to make us feel at home despite the circumstances. We wished we had stayed for longer to make the most of the facilities. Huge breakfast and decent snacks available.

“A wonderful stay”

What a great place to stay - it was a 5/10 min tuktuk journey to the Main Street and the hotel organised a complimentary tuktuk! The room was amazing and so large. Everywhere was clean and the beautiful gardens well kept. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice.

Exceptional place to stay, cannot fault it at all, fabulous daytime food, very clean pool, jungle surrounding, gorgeous quality room. Staff are just amazing, stayed here before and would highly recommend.

We loved this place !!! Absolutely stunning, beautiful and very clean! The homecooked food was delicious one of the best meals we had in 3 weeks Sri Lanka! We had the best time at the pool and there is lots of space to do Yoga and hang out. Little private oasis with very nice service - for a bit extra money we could keep the room till evening because we had a flight at night.

Very chilled and relaxed atmosphere, lovely gardens with lots of wildlife. Staff were very friendly and helpful, arranging tuktuks and taxis. Breakfast was good.

The room was spacey with a toddler and it was an intimate boutique property. Staff were excellent!

Exceptional stay! A super relaxing, quiet oasis away from the busy streets of Hikkaduwa. The staff were kind and very attentive, and the property is very well maintained. Lovely breakfast and great amenities. I really enjoyed afternoons by the pool! Thank you!
