Fantastic, homely place to stay. Fully equipped ‘house’, extremely clean and well presented and very comfortable. Best of all is the host, Megumi, who was super friendly, personable and helpful with local information. I was travelling solo but this would be a great place for a small group or family to stay. Delightful & friendly host, very welcoming, excellent communication, property is very clean & tidy with the most comfortable beds we’ve slept on in Japan. The host also helped us find a local sushi restaurant for dinner which was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent, sparkling clean accommodation with a spacious bedroom and pleasant balcony space attached to the bedroom. Good shared kitchen, dining room and bathroom facilities. We were lucky to have no fellow guests for the first two nights of our three night stay, and never had an issue with queueine to use the bathroom. Friendly host with some spoken English, who was very generous with her time in making recommendations to us and offering travel advice. Super quiet, amazing location right in the middle of small farm plots. Would definitely stay again.

We had the absolutely best time at Megumi’s beautiful house! Everything is thoughtfully designed, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean! The beds were super comfy! And Megumi is the best host you can imagine: She is such a nice person and has great tips for restaurants, local attractions (the camo tree is a must see!), Onsen and knows the area in and out. The location is a great base to visit the Ilya valley but even Higashimiyoshi and its rural surroundings are worth to explore. We would have loved to stay longer and were really sad to leave! Thanks again!
