“Would gladly come back!”
Very good value for money. Room was big for Japanese standards. Kitchen is well equipped. Skis and boot storage are well organized and logically placed. I liked the onsen and the lobby and also spend some time on the massage chair.

“Comfortable and relaxing stay in stunning natural setting”
Friendly ski lodge style accommodations in a very picturesque location. Very easy access to the groomed cross-country trails. Our twin room was very spacious with plenty of space for luggage. Shared kitchen was clean and easy to use. Great facilities for skiers (racks, wax room, boot dryers). I didn't use the onsen but friends who did enjoyed the experience.

“Amazing place to explore the National Park with Asahidake”
K's guesthouse is easy to get to with public transport with a bus stop right in front of the door. There is a cross country course just opposite. The gondola is just a 15 min walk. In the morning a ski bus is passing, so there is no need to walk. I stayed in the dormitory which was roomy, so there is plenty of space for all the gear. Comfy and warm beds and pillows etc. Also the dorm was never crowded, I even had it sometimes just myself. The staff is amazing and will always help you. I had problems with my skis and got help immediately. Unfortunately I left my gloves behind and they got sent to my next destination super fast. I even got some home made Kartoffelsuppe from the kind members of the crew. Cool in- and outdoor onsen. The common area with the huge windows facing into the snow and a stretching corner and corner with camping theme are amazing. Great cooking facilities. Small shop there for the basics, but bring provisions. In short: for an Asahidake trip, this is the place!

“"I'm happy to be here"”
First of all: wow. My stay exceeded all the expectations I had. The place is big, so the lounge and the kitchen and the onsen and everything else is also spacious. And yet, it feels cozy. I'm a fan of the lounge area, nothing like enjoying a hot cup of tea with the view of the snowy trees. I'm also a fan of the onsen - the indoors area is really big, and the temperature varies depending on where you enter - but the best waits outside. I'm perhaps not a fan, but still very appreciative of the big kitchen - it's superbly equipped and set up in a way that accomodates multiple people cooking at the same time, without them interrupting each other. Really, really well done. I remember I said during check-in "I'm happy to be here" and indeed, I was happy to be there the whole stay. I hope I will be back one day, ideally for longer :)

This is an excellent hostel. It is a pleasant short walk to the cable car up Asahidake. The staff are very helpful and friendly. You need to bring food with you but there’s plenty of space in refrigerators to store it & the kitchen is excellent. It’s slightly more expensive than some hostels but it’s more spacious and you have the option of a single room rather than a dormitory; moreover, the onsen is included.

“Warm Room & Lovely Onsen by the Woods”
A short uphill walk from the ropeway and right by the bus stop, the location is good. Private room was comfy and had a lovely view on the snowy woods that made me just want to stay in bed all day! The outdoor onsen is to die for, especially when it’s snowing, and most often I had it all to myself. The little food shop is very helpful (though please do bring your own food) and the free toast and coffee in the mornings is a nice touch. Staff were lovely.

It's 15 min walking distance from thz information center and ropeway The provide toast and coffee / tea for breakfast. They have a small shop with noodles, some frozen veggies and meat, some sauce. “Great and affordable hotel with a superb onsen”
The place is perfect for a couple of days hiking trip around Asahidake. The onsen is wonderful, especially you can use it from 3 PM to 9 AM every day. Price is unbeatable in the area, also it is very close to the ropeway. Check-in and check-out flawless. Bus stop is 1 minute from the entrance. Very cosy. Would definitely come again!
