“Comfortable stay in Hermanus”
We had a very pleasant one night stay at this guest house. Our room was comfortable, spotlessly clean and had a nice balcony. We enjoyed a large breakfast the following morning with plenty of choice. There were also some nice little touches such as complimentary port and snacks as well as a well stocked mini bar. Tanya, the host , was very helpful and gave us lots of useful info about the local area. The Hermanus cliff path can be easily accessed from the guesthouse and is highly recommended.

“First class superior guest house - feels & is luxurious!”
Perfect perfect perfect!! In every way Tanya welcomed us personally with refreshing towels & a delicious drink. Booked restaurants for us & always happy to chat & give advice. The guest house facilities are first class with attention to every detail. The garden designed by Tanya is out of this world!

Everything was great at whale on main! The rooms are specious and well decorated. The Location is good abd close to the cliff walk. The breakfast was delicious and most importantly, Tanja the host is the most wonderful person! She will give you the best tips for the area and you will for sure enjoy a lovely conversation! “A relaxing stay in a stunning property”
The Whale is in a superb location being 50 metres to the coastal path and a 5 minute walk to the golf club. The owners and staff are first class. The outdoor whirlpool was a great bonus.

We stayed here 1 night and we enjoyed it a lot! The hosts were very lovely, nice and attentive, it felt like home :) they gave us good tips of things to visit in the area. Besides the cozy and well decorated rooms, the breakfast was another highlight :)

So welcoming, so comfortable. Tanja has a way of making you feel you know her. Wonderful hints and suggestions in a warm, welcoming space! Oh and the bed … so comfy! We only wish we’d stayed longer!
