“We felt no welcome!”

A very disappointing experience that was far from what one would expect from a four-star spa hotel. Before our arrival, I contacted the hotel by email to arrange a special setup in the room (cava, chocolates and seasonal fruit), as it was meant to be a surprise for my boyfriend’s 40th birthday. I clearly asked to pay for the extra in advance, specifically to avoid having to pay for it at reception in front of him. The hotel never replied to that email. Upon arrival on Saturday afternoon, during check-in, the experience at reception was extremely unpleasant. The receptionist on duty at that time was unfriendly, dismissive and disrespectful, and her attitude noticeably changed the moment she realized I did not speak Swedish and needed to communicate in English. From that point on, she became visibly impatient and cold, looking us up and down and making the interaction uncomfortable. At one point, she even spoke to me in a raised and aggressive tone, saying “wait a minute, I’m not finished talking to you”, which is completely inappropriate in any hospitality setting. Speaking English is entirely normal in a country as international and touristic as Sweden, especially in a spa hotel, and it should never result in a guest being treated poorly. Despite my previous request, I was told at reception — in front of my boyfriend — that I had to pay 800 SEK for the cava, chocolates and fruit, which completely ruined the surprise. There was no discretion, no empathy and no attempt to handle the situation professionally. When we finally entered the room, the so-called “special arrangement” was extremely underwhelming. For 800 SEK, we received: • a few slices of melon, • three very basic chocolates, • a very low-end cava presented as champagne, • two mismatched champagne glasses, one of which was dirty. Excellent layout, big comfy rooms, lovely restaurants and the staff were great! I had the spa all to myself one night, that was a first. Loved it.

I really appreciated how well the staff managed the number of visitors in the spa, ensuring a peaceful and relaxing experience. The breakfast was fantastic, especially the freshly cooked omelette and eggs — a great start to the day.

Had a very nice Thai dinner as the main restaurant was closed, the facilties such as spa were excellent, and open late in the evening. The room was airy, and to have a bath looking out the window was so relaxing.

Good location, excellent room, nice and cozy garden with good garden furniture. Dinner buffet was good. SPA area was fine and water temperature in pool’s was as expected.

The restaurant Tegel, in connection to the hotel was really good. Great staff, friendly and good service. Breakfast was excellent. The spa was clean, the surroundings to the hotel was beautiful and it was a great location.

“Pleasant enough for a short getaway, but nothing special”

The location was right at the beach. It was nice to take a walk or a run. With the car it wasn't far to the city, but you do need a car to get around. The room had a decent size, was nice and light. The bathroom was also really nice and very clean.

Every is very perfect. New hotel in old building but everything is done in modern way, very clean, standard double room is not big but there is enough place for everything, bathroom is very cool, modern and there is everything what needed. SPA is not big, but the hotel is also not big, 2 kinds of sauna (classic one and stream), hotspot with bubbles, swimming pool, and massage for additional payment. The restaurant is big, well designed and decorated with very tasty food. One menu with different options for vegetarian, vegans. Highly recommend!!! Ve enjoyed staying in this place. By the way, there is a nice beach over the road.

Very comfortable, large room, nice and new. Stylish accommodation located in an old factory building. Carribean grill buffet or a la carte for dinner, excellent breakfast. The best hotel on our tour.

A really good breakfast, with some buffet and some freshly grilled options. Fast and helpful staff. When something was left behind they contacted us and made sure we were able to retrieve it.
