Overview
Situated on western Iceland’s Snaefellsnes Peninsula, this former fish processing factory has been converted into a professional theatre and artsy hostel. Free WiFi access is available throughout. With views of the surrounding countryside, dormitories come with simple retro-style furnishings and each shares a bathroom. Guests can have a drink at the bar and relax in the shared lounge area. They have access to the communal kitchen. During summer, the property offers a weekly schedule of performances and events. Guests can benefit from complimentary tickets to events such as theatre, live music and game nights. A variety of activities, including hiking and fishing, can be enjoyed on site or in the immediate surroundings.

This hostel has a soul that is hard to find elsewhere. It's located in one of Iceland's smallest towns, close to all the main natural wonders of the area. The owner, Kari, is a wonderful person; stopping to chat with him is a real treat. He has an incredible life story to share and can give great advice on local spots and Iceland in general. If I ever return, it will definitely be to see him again.

“Loved it and would stay again!”
Quirky place that had so many things to love. Room was simple but cosy and kitchens well equipped as well as communal areas. It was super quiet when we were there which was a shame but we still loved it! The table football was a hit with the kids! X

“Shot and practical.”
It was pretty cozy and the room Gimli I stayed in was nice, the kitchen was fully equipped and the bathrooms were also really clean and good.

Great environment with many people around the world. They do music nights on the weekend. Cozy common room where you can pick a room or play an album on the CD player, and relax. I also really like the style of the interns.

“Warm and comfortable stay”
