It is near Selfoss, nearby many amenities(supermarket, petrol). Isolated cabin, away from other houses. Hot-tub. The beds are good. Kitchen well equipped with everything we needed(even salt, sugar,scouring pads, dishwashing tabs).

We stayed here for 7 nights with our little daughter (2 years old). It's a very nice cozy place with a lot of comfort and a hot tub ! Good spot for northern lights due the low light pollution and clear skies between Selfoss and Hella. The communication with the local contact was very smooth and very friendly! They made our holiday great, thank you ! You can also visit the horses nearby from the owner, they also have a very friendly dog that will have a visit at his own in the evening when you are there he likes to play with you! We recommend this stay for next guests. It's a good location for the golden circle route as well still close enough for a drive to Reykjavik, Vik or even Black diamond beach in one day ! “Fabulous New Year Stay in spacious chalet with bonus northern lights”

Spacious chalet for our family of 4 (incl 2 adult children). Great location in peace and quiet but not too far to drive to Selfoss and South to waterfalls/black sand beach or North to Geysir / Secret Lagoon. We were fortunate to see amazing Northern Lights display from the chalet too. Excellent communication from the hosts.

“The most amazing retreat after a long snowy day”

The cottage was amazingly placed too see the northern lights two of our five nights here, it was central to Selfoss, Hella and all the golden circle highlights and was a brilliant base to travel from. There is nothing better than coming back after a long days driving and hiking to a warm cosy home from home cottage and a hot tub! the facilities are top notch, with a specific drying area for your snowy things and the beds are super comfy and with complete control over the heating! we even had the windows open at one point! and just to top it off we had a visit from the local dog, he doesn't belong to the farm but visits regularly and he was just adorable, loves a belly rub and a warm. There is also plenty of storage for clothing and shopping, and some cleaning supplies to use the dishwasher. The internet is brilliant too, something we were not expecting, I cannot recommend this place enough l, the hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating. and the views are simply breathtakingly beautiful. As a family we have travelled alot and always look for somewhere relaxing after a long day and this was just perfect for that! kids and grown ups alike will love this home! If you follow the directions in the email sent you will have zero issues finding the home even in the dark! Big thanks to our hosts, it was amazing.

cabin was immaculate perfect remote location only thing that was disappointing the pictures show a washing machine and dryer but our cabin didn't have them. perfect location to see northern lights didn't have to drive out to see them they appeared above us oh and can't forget about max the dog that seemed to adopt us and came to visit every night.

We had an amazing stay at the cabin. It was fully equipped with everything we needed—a well-stocked kitchen, cozy living spaces, and even a dryer, which came in handy after outdoor adventures. The location was fantastic, check in was easy, and the cabin stayed warm and comfortable throughout our stay. The hot tub and BBQ were perfect for relaxing evenings. What really blew us away were the clear skies with no light pollution, making it an ideal spot to view the aurora borealis. Watching the northern lights from the cabin was magical! Would definitely recommend this place.
