“Outstanding set up if you have a car”

This is a wonderful set up for anyone with a car. Not far off main southern journey there are excellent rooms with a significant common kitchen complete with oil and other utensils. The rooms are very comfortable, good size and nice bathroom- much better than the pictures. The waffles are a bonus. Lovely view of snow capped mountains.

Everything was great. Comfortable, clean, very quite rooms. Very, very comfy bed. Lovely family running the place. Fully equiped kitchen. Free breakfast (but don’t expect a buffet, there are tasty waffles with jam and peanut butter and good coffee).

Hosts are super friendly and nice, beyond excellent. The common kitchen has everything. The common dining area is a plus. The stay doesn't include breakfast but host made fresh waffles for guests. Coffee and tea are available all the time.

Purpose built for accommodating visitors. The location, in the middle of a field, easily accessible by car. The rural view. The self check-in and the availability of staff for a friendly welcoming chat. Kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals. The sitting area is organised in such a way that it makes easy to meet other visitors . Live the waffles in the morning. Will definitely return when visiting Iceland.

Our stay at Loa’s Nest was absolutely amazing. The hosts were incredible — so kind, welcoming, and helpful from the very beginning. Everything was spotless and perfectly maintained. The rooms felt luxurious, very comfortable, cozy, and beautifully designed. We slept incredibly well. Breakfast was wonderful, honestly one of the best we had during our trip. You can really feel the care and attention to detail in every part of the experience. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Iceland.

Loa’s Nest is a gem. Unpretentious, comfortable, quiet and clean and made even better by the wonderful hosts, Unnur, Ingi and their son. Such a calm, welcoming atmosphere which made you feel immediately at home, and helpful advice freely given on things to do and the routes to take. We’re discerning travellers but were blown away by Loa’s Nest and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

This accomodation is a gem in the countryside near Hella. It's clean, quiet and the rooms are spacious. The owner is very friendly, she gave us many suggestions in terms of places to visit and baked waffles for us in the morning. If you want an amazing experience, choose this one!
