“Don’t make the same mistake as I did!”

Don’t make the same mistake as I did! I usually never write bad reviews, but here it really is necessary. I booked this place about a month ago for the same day and we arrived around sunset time. Sadly we didn’t receive the entrance code, there was nobody at the property and the phone number didn’t work. We tried reaching them but had to leave as it was starting to get dark and we didn’t want to risk getting into a dangerous situation. Spontaneously we then had to book a much more expensive accommodation for the night. Now, more than a month later I still didn’t get a reply from them or my money back, as the customer service of booking also needs a response from them to be able to refund me. So as lovely as the place seemed, I can definitely not recommend it and hope that you won’t have the same situation as I do.

“Beautiful location”

Beautiful and quiet location with a view to the mountains. The kitchen was very well equipped, communal areas have a good space.

Nice location with a beautiful view. A lot of places to relax . Good kitchen to use.

This guesthouse was very clean and comfortable. The rooms may be small but the other areas are spacious and lovely.

The kitchen facilities had most things required. It was warm Good hot shower pressure. Lovely host, you can ring. The lady I met who was cleaning, lovely and friendly.

“Cozy, comfortable, great location”

The guesthouse has great amenities—a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, a super cozy living room with a TV, a beautiful terrace, and bathrooms that even have a hairdryer (what a blessing!). The owners pay attention to decorations and add little comfort touches. It’s in a perfect location if you want to experience a stunning Icelandic night with the aurora, stars, and no signs of civilization. The rooms and beds are just right—we fit perfectly as three girls, and it was absolutely comfortable.

Conveniently located when heading to/from Landmannaleid or Sprengisandur.

Very clean and had everything I needed. Solid beds, kitchen + grill, plenty of bathrooms and a common room.

Rooms for 3 are very small Kitchen is not always very clean. This is probably due to the fact that there is nobody responsible in the guesthouse.

Slept fine and found no major issues. It served our needs. The lounge area was spacious and we had a nice conversation with another couple.

Nice common room and kitchen. The place is clean. The owner even gave us some tips on hikes.

Relatively near from Landmannalaugar. Can be recommended to who wants to hike there.
