One of three cozy private 1bedroom Cabins, side-by-side in the countryside. Sheep and horses are within view of property, with beautiful views of mountains in the distance. Property is very clean and modern. It was perfect for my family of 3. There is a restaurant 2 mins away that closes at 9pm. You can park vehicle right in front of cabin. All kitchen appliances are brand new. Despite the remote location in Hella, it was still a very strategic central point for our itinerary. Minutes from the Lava Centre and Caves with school bus Cafe. Fantastic blackout curtains on every window.

“Perfect spot to explore South Iceland & Golden Circle”

Farmers Guesthouse was the perfect place to stay, allowing us to explore both the south coast and the golden circle during our visit to Iceland. The cabin was easy to find, comfortable and warm and we were greeted on arrival by the most lovely welcome party (Kara & Balti the farm dogs! Who came back to say Hello a few times over our 4 night stay). The Farmer messaged us on one evening to let us know that the Northern Lights were out (which we wouldn't have known otherwise) and we were very lucky to have a full evening light show! 😀 The cabin had all the amenities needed (kettle, cooker, fridge, freezer etc) along with plenty of crockery & Cutlery. Smart TV was a nice touch and the WiFi provided was decent. Overall a lovely place to stay - Thanks!!

Nice and clean apartament on our way to south Iceland.

The cottage is very warm, clean and nicely placed overlooking the glacier. The hosts are very helpful and responsive.

A beautiful cabin, modern, well-furbished, with everything we needed (except a washing machine, but the owners kindly recommended a laundromat nearby). The location is ideal. After touring Iceland clockwise for two weeks, changing apartment every one or two days, we stayed there for 6 nights, because its location is perfect: close to Landmannalaugar, Fjallabak, Thórsmörk, Þórsmörk, Vestmanneyjar, the Golden Circle... and we couldn't have chosen a better place. If we ever go back to Iceland, we will surely stay here again!

“Cosy base for exploring”

We had a gorgeous week long stay here. Perfect base for exploring south Iceland. All golden circle locations are within an hour and a half. Selfoss is close which has all big supermarkets and there’s a small supermarket in Hella. Everything you could need including the little things self catering accommodation often forgets like coffee maker and ladle etc. Wr loved the staff dogs Kara and Balti. My 6 year old son loved rolling down the grass hill. Great to chat Larus and maybe we will be back.

Amazing place for Aurora observing! That’s also our objective why we chose this farm house for a stay. You don’t have to keep staying in the farm for photographs, driving to somewhere around in the darkness is also easy to stay away from the human lights. The house stay in a wonderful position, just near Road nr.1. It’s not too difficult to find. The Owner is super friendly and very much helpful to answer all your questions.
