“Nostalgi”
This was a charming experience.It was as though one were back in the time of Frederick the Great and Maria Theresa of Austria.The rooms are decorated with memorabilia of a bygone age.We breakfasted in a room which transported us back to olden times and the hotel's proprietess served us a bountiful and delicious breakfast. For those wishing to experience the nostalgia of staying in an Odenwald inn we heartily recommend the Roter Löwe. Prof.Dr.med Arthur Bosŵorth

“Beautiful old house”
A typical old fashioned house, which is an experience in itself. Very nice host, clean, great breakfast. Not difficult to find with gmaps.

“A pleasant stay in a historic building”
A historic timber frame building carefully restored by the owners offers comfortable accommodation in the centre of a pleasant village. There is parking on site. The church bells opposite stopped chiming at 10pm and we had a good nights sleep. Excellent breakfast.

The hostess was very friendly. The house is a dream. It has been restaured with so much love and eye for detail. It is like staying in a beautiful museum. Breakfast was generous.

“Hugely atmospheric overnight stay”
An establishment with great charm, over 300 years old with fabulous fittings and furnishings, all in keeping with the age of the building. Exceptionally clean. Each of our two rooms had a private bathroom although it was just over the corridor and not en suite, but this was not a problem. Very sufficient breakfast. Very characterful and knowledgeable hosts. The onesty bar was pointed out to us with local beer and wine available. Unfortunately, we were travelling en route to the French coast and were not able to take advantage of the proximity to Heidelberg and attractive countryside.
