The view from the hotel was truly fantastic and one of the highlights of our stay.

It is a pretty place to stay with a breathtaking view over heidelberg. Rooms were really big and well equipped. Staff was friendly and the 24hr reception desk was helpful for late check in's.

Room was spacious and clean. Everything worked as intended and no problem with parking. The view of Heidelberg was beautiful. Safe did not work on arrival but was quickly rectified.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location, had a valley view room which was fantastic. Spotless hotel, food was great, staff couldn't do enough for you. You think the hotel is miles away from anywhere but with the railway next door you are 10 mins away from the center of Heidelberg.

We booked a superior room with a city view, and while the room technically did overlook the city, the actual view was squeezed between two buildings directly under the roof area, where flies and mosquitoes seemed to gather in large numbers. As soon as we opened the window, they quickly came into the room. The hotel was also far less tranquil than expected. It appears to be a very popular destination for hikers, bikers, cyclists, and tourists coming to enjoy the panoramic city views. As a result, the restaurant was constantly overcrowded, and there were large numbers of people around the hotel grounds throughout the day. Unfortunately, this also created parking issues, and we were unable to find a parking space upon arrival. Overall, we would not recommend staying here. In our opinion, staying downtown offers better value for money, easier parking, and a wider selection of food options.

“Exceptional”

Beautiful clifftop hotel surrounded by woodlands with lots of walks. Funicular down to Schloss and Old Town.

Very helpful and courteous staff, a magical location with superb views over the Neckartal, and lots of marked woodland trails nearby. Lovely evening meal and very tasty, locally brewed beer served in the Mark Twain bar.

Spacious room, lots of storage (which may be useful for long stay), comfortable beds, panoramic view. Funicular station just a few steps from hotel with discounted rate as hotel guest.

Very family friendly. Comfortable atmosphere. Just next to Märchen Paradise and next to Bergbahn Station. The sauna is free and with a nice view. Breakfast is excellent. The restaurant is available in the same building.

What a location! Breathtaking views and a classy, well decorated and comfortable stay. Parking, great food and lovely staff. The drive up and down was stunning on its own. Just book it!

“Gorgeous mountain stay”

Our room was absolutely beautiful. We got upgraded to an even nicer room with a balcony overseeing the city. The bed was extremely comfortable as well.
