“An Amazing Experience”

An amazing experience. The owner, Valerie, is an excellent communicator and she welcomed us very warmly and sincerely. Parking is easy, literally 10 metres from the boat. I've never parked so close to my accommodation before!!! Valerie has created a superb experience, rather than simply somewhere to stay. The boat has cute outdoor seating, but the real delight is down below; lovely lighting, a necessarily small but functional kitchen, a dining table, and a bathroom with flush loo and shower. The bedroom area was very comfortable, with a nice firm mattress and USB charging points close by as well as subtle and delicate LED lighting. Valerie took time to explain how everything worked - as it is a little bit different to a typical hotel room (!) - and made sure we were happy. She then went on to explain where nearby bars and restaurants are. As it happened we popped to the lock master's house over the canal and had a drink and snack there, then purchased 2 microwave meals from the same place and had dinner aboard the boat. A nice bottle of complimentary cider in the fridge rounded things off beautifully. Absolutely splendid all round. Totally recommend for a different experience to a regular hotel. Worth every penny.
