“Good place to stay in attractive village”

Our host saw us arrive an hour before check-in time and kindly opened up the hotel for us. A good place to stay in this attractive village, with some beautiful walks and an excellent panaderia.

A lovely little hotel with very friendly staff. We arrived after a 12 hour walk and they thought nothing of driving down to the village and bringing us back some dinner. Really kind!

The hotel was ideally located for hiking and birdwatching in the area. The food was extremely good and the staff were hospitable and friendly. The locally brewed beer was much appreciated.

“A wonderfully tranquil stay”

We stayed for 4 nights, (2 sepparate bookings) and our reiew must be taken in context.The hotel is an isolated area of the National Park, Parque Natural Valles Occidentales so do not expect the trappings of a town or city hotel. If you are a walker, cyclist and or nature lover then this is the place for you. The breakfast and evening meals are basic but excellently cooked by Lucia and her husband Imanol who have owned the hotel for 32 years. They are wonderful hosts. Packed lunches were great and Locia and Imanol have an imense amount of knowledge about all aspects of the locality. Lucia is fluent in English and email communication is excelent, she arranged a birdwatching guide for us and I believe walking guides are also regularly arranged. Finally, the bottled beer that they brew on-site is amazing, we tried only one of the four types available.

Lovely family run hotel in wonderful mountain location. Exceptionally helpful and friendly couple running the hotel. The beer brewed on site was excellent and a great bonus. Meals were delicious.

Hosts were most friendly, welcoming and helpful and the communication perfect. The meals they provided were very good and excellent value for money. The location is absolutely beautiful and the ambience of the hotel is very relaxing. It is perfect for birdwatchers and the hosts are very helpful in pointing out the right spots.
