A wonderful place, I definitely recommend it! Everything was excellent, from the location to the various amenities, such as board games, towels, kitchenware and spices, a dishwasher, etc. You're provided with complete peace and privacy, and a wonderful atmosphere. The owner is very friendly and attentive, and the cleaning lady is also very kind. We'll definitely be back.

We loved the place, it almost has everything we needed, the Host were super, he is very responsive on replying to our questions, he also has a sense of humour! The location was amazing, we enjoyed the views outside our lodge. We borrowed the bikes and went exploring. We had a hire car, Delft and Gouda is about 20-30 mins drive away, airport were approx 30 mins away, very convenient for travellers.

“Wonderful”

The chalet is open and bright, we felt relaxed being here, very quiet. We had an enclosed garden for our pooch who also relaxed here. It is ideally placed to visit Keukenhof, Kinderdijk and much more. We will hopefully be back soon, thank you Pieter 🙏

“Relaxing and convenient place to stay”

We really enjoyed our stay at Lodges near the Rhine – Sustainable Residence. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding area, and the setting was particularly lovely. The accommodation was clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Our host Peter was extremely helpful, accommodating, and responsive. If only we can give 11 out of 10 stars. The cottage was simple but provided full comfort and relaxation. The neighborhood felt safe. The facilities and amenities were adequate. It definitely felt like a home away from home.

the location was great with many places of interest nearby, but the lodges themselves are in a quiet setting with sheep, chickens and ducks all around as well as canals. The lodge itself is welcoming, comfortable and well equipped. Our host was also extremely welcoming

“A Gem”

Three secluded lodges in the hosts back garden. Spacious. 6' comfortable bed. Modern and excellently presented. The Rhine outside the front gate. Restaurant on the river a 5 minute cycle away. Bikes provided. And everyone speaks perfect English!

We loved the quiet location and enjoyed walking the river side pathway in the evenings. The beds were very comfortable. Parking was easy & free. The host was friendly.

We had an amazing stay at the Lodges near the Rhine. Pieter is the perfect host. He is kind, friendly, funny and has very good tips for restaurants and things to do in the region. The house is clean and beautiful, the garden is peaceful. The bed is very confortable. There is everything you need for a perfect stay. There’s fresh eggs, bikes, a great parking space. It’s nice to walk along the Rhine. It’s such a peaceful place. We enjoyed the chicken running around and the lambs playing around in the field next to the house. We are going to miss Ginger the super smart chicken and her chicken squad. Around the house, there are shops, restaurants, public transportation. If you need a peaceful holiday in an amazing country with the perfect host, it’s the place to be. Thank you Pieter for your warm welcome.

we traveled with two dogs and were very pleased! The owner is very responsive and attentive. He sent us a video of the house, told us everything in detail, was always in touch. There is a very beautiful promenade next to the house. The location of the house is great. A cozy closed yard where you could just sit and relax watching the chickens

“A wonderfully kept property and outstanding service. Couldn’t have stayed in a better place, we enjoyed every second.”

The property was in a fantastic location, it was clean and the host Pieter was extremely helpful. No ask was too big and he went to considerable lengths to make our stay comfortable. Pieter even made reservations for us at a local restaurant and provided many recommendations of the local area. To save money we did most of the cooking at the property, the kitchen was well stocked with equipment and we were given fresh eggs from the chickens outside. The local supermarket made it easy to eat in and find fresh ingredients. The river Rhine outside the property made the hot days bearable and provided evening entertainment for a swim. There is plenty to do locally, for both city breaks and nature lovers. We were able to travel to 5 different cities from here and explore the Netherlands. The property had Air con, bug nets and black out blinds for the windows, all things I couldn’t live without! Especially in summer. We can’t wait for come back again and can’t thank Pieter enough. Highly recommend!

Pieter has been one of the most kind, responsive and welcoming host we've even meet. The place is equipped with everything you would need. It's located in front of the river and there's greenery all around. The master bedroom's bed was amazingly confortable, perfect to have some quality rest after exploring the Netherlands. There is only good things I can tell about this place... ahh yes, we loved the hens :)

Such a peaceful spot but close to many beautiful towns and cities to visit. Best of both worlds. The lodge is modern and spacious with lovely outdoor space. We had a wonderful, restful and interesting time.
