A wonderful place to stay while hiking from Beaufort to Les Contamines. The room had a beautiful view down the valley, our host was so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was great.

“Relaxing, with fantastic views”
The dinner was amazing! We hiked from Les Contamines-Montjoie and we got the cable car back. The staff were fabulous and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Perched at the head of the Hauteluce valley, the chalet has stunning views of the surrounding mountain slopes and the Barrage at La Girotte. Breakfast and dinner on the lawn or terrace were beautifully quiet and peaceful, with the occasional whistle of a marmot. The location is perfect for starting mountain walks, and Nellie, our host, was a mine of information on where to go. Her home-cooked 3/4 course dinners were absolutely delicious.

We loved everything about this place. The family that owns it are so kind and helpful. Great food in the evening and lovely picnic for the day. The location is one of a kind and perfect for trail running. We can’t wait to return!
