“Great Guesthouse!”

We had the pleasure of staying in one of the two guest rooms belonging to the Kamino restaurant in Häusern. The modern and spacious room left nothing to be desired: a safe, a well-stocked minibar, fresh drinking water, and apples from the Black Forest were all provided. The guest room manager, Mrs. Zumkeller, is exceptionally friendly and attentive, and always available to help. The booking process was straightforward, communication was perfect, the price was fair — and the stay was simply wonderful. On our next weekend trip to the Hochschwarzwald (High Black Forest), we will definitely stay there again!

Wow! What a find. We were motorcycle touring and got stranded in Hausern on the B500 in Germany. And what a place to get stranded. We found this place by chance with some availability, and it was lucky that we chose the place as it was the highlight of our entire trip. We ended up spending 2 nights here, and for good reason. The host was so lovely and welcoming. The rooms were truly stunning; super modern and bang up to date. I normally have to use my own pillows in hotel rooms/guest houses, but not at this one. Proper pillows, amazing beds, I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The facilities were bang up to date, and I haven't even gotten to the best bit yet. The restaurant. Oh the restaurant, we were deeply saddened to find it was closed for the second night of our stay, so we made a point to maximise our one meal here., It was of Michelin quality, and definitely one of the best meals I have ever eaten in what I can only describe as one of the best settings with a fabulous ambience. This was one to remember. The property is right opposite a couple of larger stores, it is right near a wonderful bakery for breakfast and coffee in the mornings, and every part of our stay was truly wonderful. The host let us park all of our bikes on their driveway, round the back of the building and right outside of our rooms. So hospitable and thoughtful, definitely one to head back for.

This was such a perfect place to say. The owner was so friendly and welcoming and arranged for me to have dinner in the restaurant even with my dogs. The room was clean and beautifully decorated with a lovely little courtyard garden. Dinner in the restaurant was absolutely delicious and again, is beautifully decorated. I was right near to walks in the Black Forest. I was sad to only be staying one night as I was passing through on my journey. I would highly recommend everything about this hotel and the restaurant.

We received a great welcome from friendly & knowledgeable hosts. The rooms are modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. There was parking for our car immediately outside our room. The breakfast was fantastic, very tasty and fresh. Excellent value and I would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation. An excellent base for exploring the Black Forest roads.

“Amazing place in a spectacular area.”

Everything. The rooms were very modern and spacious with a large bathroom. The restaurant is beautiful and the food both evening and breakfast was amazing. There is a large parking area right next to the rooms. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and made our stay very special. So much so that we will definitely return here. Steffi was amazing, providing us with local information and making us feel welcome in their beautiful guest house.

“Exceptional”

The owner was lovely. The room was a good size with a seating area and large bathroom. The bed was incredibly comfy. It was spotlessly clean. There was also a small personal terrace to your room. We ate dinner in the restaurant and the food and service was first class. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, these were the nicest bead rolls we’d had on our road trip and the little pots of oats were divine. Will definitely be back, even if to just eat that wonderful risotto again.

In a word: Wow! What a wonderful experience. The hospitality, the spacious rooms and shower. And the food, oh my god... One of the best dinners we've ever had. The truffle sauce of the fillet steak was heavenly, and the halibut was cooked to prefection. The generous breakfast was also delicious. We cannot wait to return to Kamino in our next visit to the Black Forest!

Strong and nice breakfast, the family in charge is super nice and speaks at least 3 languages. Super practical to park and to get to St Blasien. Nice Italian shower.
